| Micheal Phelps just won his eight medal Sunday. What do you guys think about it. I just think it's cool that he broke Mark Spitz's medal record in the most gold medals. | |

| Ye I still can't believe he did it....
Did anyone see what he eats as a meal? they had something on the local news that told his secret. It went something along the lines of 1lb pasta 1 large pizza 12 redbulls and there was something else but I forget what it was. They tallied his supper to be in the 12000 calerie area. Thats 6X more than the average human!

| There are too many people whom consume far too many cals in a day, the fact that he burns off 12000+ plus just goes to show how much training he must do! Last time I checked, my Cal intake was sub 1200 per day. I',m a skinny little 10½ stone chap, eats like a horse when I'm working, otherwise I eat next to nothing when 'at rest'. I cannot imagine eating 12000 Cals! I'd just be sick | |

| That opening ceremony kinda made the whole thing for me, I also got tired of gymnastics... I just saw professional trampoline stuff; that was sweet! Ive been trying to watch the shooting events but my comp wont download the stupid flash player that it requires (its not quick time or anything else I've seen, its called silver back or silverwave or something like that). I was watching the pentagon news (its on the military channel) and they had a section about one of the guys from that Army marksmanship unit that broke the world record in shotgun skeet (clay pigeon) shooting. He hit 445 out of 450. Thats ridiculous. How deaf was the guy after that?

| Ya he swims about 2 miles every day for practice and warm ups that doesnt include the races. Really if you didnt eat that much and tryed to do what he does you would most likely look anerexic (don't know if thats spelled right). There is just so much to it I mean most of what he eats is carbs and protien. So really its like putting racing fuel in a race car. It makes him go that much faster and when he isn't racing he is using regular gasoline. He eats what he needs at the time and when he isn't competing he said he eats normally. | |
