| I assume your talking about airsoft? or both?(real steel and airsoft).
Well once I max out my VSR I plan on getting an E1 AK SU and converting it into a VSS vintorez. My M4 was good too me but everyone has it, which now with the added market of clones makes no M4 \ M16 no matter what you do to it, unoriginal.
AK's look good without any mods, M16's need a little work. So ima go with AK.

have to agree with you on that one sticks..Ak47 looks better with out any mods and M16 need some wich can turn in to spending more money than you want...plus i own a ak47 and i has been good for me and i haven't had a problem with it yet.

| AK looks nice, that's true. But I think the GR16 series look much better. It's just what you prefer. I'm looking for a pretty gun that's accurate. As long as it has these 2 qualities I'm satisfied. AK en M4 or M16 have these qualities so... Take a pick Mike | |

| I like M16s better, as they are more accurate. they have an body which is straight, I think its called an In-line stock? Anyways, what it does is directs the recoil straight back, and has much less muzzle climb. In other words, when you shoot the M16 the barrel doesnt raise as much as the AK-47. But then again thats real-steel.... Yet in airsoft I would still probably prefer the M16. just personal preference. | |

| Either one...though im more used to the style of the M4/M16, the 7.62 AK leaves a bigger hole and has more stopping power.
here comes the book... | |

| true .308 does do it but .223 does go much faster. When i had an Ar-15 i shot .556 hollow points and they really got the job done. | |

| AR-15 is fecking awesome.
In fact i went with my dad to the gun store just yesterday and they had a collection of AK's and what not out too. Their pushing buys claiming that if obama gets elected, everything associating with the word gun would be banned that includes airsoft. Which is probably true...

| Actually thats why airsoft is being banned is because of stupid people. Im actually not finding it too funny. That is at least the only positive about banning ^.
Im actually surprised walmart, one of the top 10 most liberal retailers. carries hunting supplies and airsoft guns.
LETS NOT GET INTO POLITICS THOUGH. tht is my limit for this forum since it IS in the tag, "No hating, No politics, Strictly airsoft"

| M-16, just cause i like the "sleek" black look better. M-16 is more of a rifle, AK is more of a machine gun. You can tell by the selector switches. On an M-16, it goes to semi before auto, and on an AK auto looks like the natural position. | |

| I got to talk to one of my marine buds who's in Anbar providence. So i don't retell a page long story I will shorten it up. Basically they got a report of a sniper that was attacking a supply convoy, so they got sent in. The guy next to him found the sniper in a ditch a good 30m from the road. It took him 6 shots to down the guy. However it only too my friend one shot to the chest to get the cameraman. The only difference was the guy who shot the sniper was using an M4 while my buddy was using an M16.
If any of you guys know about ballistics and the .223 round you should know that it wasn't designed to be shot out of a barrel that's shorter then the M16's 20in barrel(ie M4). So in actuality the .223 has plenty of stopping power, the gun is the problem. if you look on the internet there's thousands of stories just like my buddies. In most of them the soldiers are using M4's not M16's.
If any of you have shot the AKM its noticeably easier to shoot then the AK47. I also like the sites on the AK more then the AR15. I know there less accurate then the AR sites but they are so easy to use. However if we started to use any of the M4's with the 6.8 round I would vote for those because most of them have a better gas system.
