| I am highly considering getting a G&G M4 Standard Version and am planning on personalizeing it a bit.
One of the things I want to do is add a barrel extension and was wondering what I will need to make this happen...Do I need a new threaded barrel? Does the flash-hider come off easily? What is the length of the inner barrel? How do I wire to the stock? | |

| To get the flash hider off, you'll need a tiny metric allen key. I think It's 1.5mm. Just unscrew that little screw with the allen key, jam a screw driver through your bird cage, and twist it off (righty-loosey). The inner barrel should be the standard M4 length. 363 if I remember correctly. | |

| @Merc, GET THE TAN ONE!!!! @Drummer, forgot about the halo quick detaches @Omega, I removed my hex screw, twisted to the right and nothing happened. Then I put it in hot water for a minute or 2, and twisted again, still no luck.

| Like I said, screw driver for the extra leverage. I don't think it's glued on. I didn't need extra heat to get mine off of my GR-16. Just force it. It'll work. Just jam the screw driver through the first and last slots in your birdcage and turn. | |

| Take it to a technician unless you know how to completely disassemble your gearbox and replace parts. | |

| Actually to rewire it you do. You have to take the current wiring out of the trigger box and replace them with new ones that direct towards the rear. | |

| I have a g&g gr16 also, its pretty simple... if theres a hex nut then just unscrew it and twist the barrel off, you could ask airsoftgi service, I'm not sure what to tell you. | |
