| Not all that excited by a Vietnam stuff...cuz honestly, everything we claim to know about the conflict we learned in gung-ho war movies. If you wanted to play a realistic Vietnam war game, you'd be walking patrols for 16 hours then receiving fire from an invisible enemy for a minute and mindlessly spraying bullets into the jungle hoping you hit one of the them...then returning to a damp and bug infested FOB to rot in the jungle heat. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Sounds like fun, no? | |

Sounds like fun, no? Ahhh durkee, don't dampen the fun! But in seriousness, of course it's not going to be the next military training sim, because quite frankly, it would be like you stated. And I may be an avid gamer, but I'm not narrow-minded; I'm smart enough to know that the videogames are nothing like the real-deal (unfortunately, most gamers arn't). Again like you said, If this was augmented reality, you'd be marching through the hellish jungle, knowing that the war you are fighting and dying for isn't even supported by your own country. There wouldn't be the lone-wolf, run-and-gun, twitchy ADD experience people see through the media. Its all about the escapism man. Prove me if I'm wrong, but I bet that you can't say that you didn't ever enjoy a good war flick
