Is this a good idea? I don't have the money for a TM.

Eh... If you can find one, get the TSD remodel. They improved a couple things that will give it a bit longer life. Whatever the case, just take care of it and it should be mildly decent.

Another thing... I just found a Galaxy MPK5 with 3 mags for $80, is that gun better than the mp7?

Eh, they're about the same. Well = Galaxy. In response to your other post, yes it would be very much worth it to save up for the TM MP7, as long as you get lots of use of it to make it worthwhile. Look around on forums, eBay, Craigslist, places like that and see if you can find a used one.

If you use it as a CQB primary you will get lots of use out of it. If you just use it as a sidearm or back up to your AEG it might not be the best idea to spend lots of money on it if you're on such a tight budget.

Yeah... it'll be a sidearm

so long as you don't rely on it toooooo heavily i think it is a good choice.

Well what would be tooooooo heavily? Would a GBB pistol be better?

Like planning on just using it, some people use their sidearm as their primary. (this kind of aspect)

well.... In my opinion, a Gas Blowback Pistol would both be more effective and a lot more fun. (teaches you to more cautious etc)
Also they are only about 10 dollars more than the Well MP7
