| so yesterday my m14 crapped out on me, it seemed to me it was the wiring, the tamiya connectors has melted and fused to the housing, so would the wires be the problem and where can i get some new ones, my friend thinks my gearbox just locked up, also my battery got really hot | |

| Someone had something similar happen on the local forums, but it was on his CA M4. Is your motor getting hot also? Grease may be in the trigger contacts. | |

| Need to check the wiring for a short, if your contacts got hot enough to melt into the connector you are grounding out your battery, chances are good that you have also caused some considerable damage to the battery itself. | |

| I´m going on the assumption that you are smart enough not to keep pulling the trigger when you have a malfunction, your buddy could have hit the nail right on the head, GB Jam + Active and continued trigger pull will burn out your wiring harness and battery. | |

| Then you are most definitly grounding out the battery ( Short in the wiring harness ), are you going to do the repairs yourself ??
What kind of grease are you using in your GB ? Silicon base, Petroleum Base, Zinc-Copper-Carbon-Graphit Base ? any of the last all conduct electricity and can result in a short, Petroleum and Silicon Based greases when heated will runn off the problem area. | |

| There is no need to order one, you can replace it yourself, no reason to toss the cash out the window when you can do it for just a few cents, and it is no big deal to do. I would replace the Harness, if your Connectors got hot enough to melt into the connecters then you have damaged the cable insulation, weakend, made it brittle, thin spots, Don´t you just love all the good news | |
