Four reasons why guys (wrongly) hate Justin Bieber
1. Homophobia - In general, men are are aggressive towards bisexual/homosexual men. Most guys are baritones, so anything other than that just seems...unnatural or feminine. Thus creating false labeling to further dehumanize! Yay! Justin Bieber's high pitched voice is, in many of our minds, a blatant display of homosexuality due to our society's unfair stereotypes...whether or not he actually is (he isn't).
2. Jealousy - Ok so seriously...who isn't jealous that this guy has virtually every girl in North America at his feet? Who isn't jealous of having natural singing abilities? Who isn't jealous that he's a multimillionaire and not even out of high school? If jealousy is spawning your hatred, maybe you should go back to preschool and listen closer during Miss Jane's lessons.
3. Bandwagon - "Guys don't like Justin Bieber. Whether you've heard him or not. He's 'gay' and uncool and doesn't deserve your respect as a musician."
4. He's Fake - While one would get the impression that he has sold his soul to Disney, if you look back at his stuff prior to being signed (to Island and RBMG...never Disney)...he really does have great musical talent as a songwriter, singer, and musician. He plays the drums and guitar too! Maybe once he's a bit older, money won't be such an issue for him and he'll shift back to creating music for himself, rather than making a name for himself. You have to remember that he is still a breakout artist. He's new to the scene, no matter how long it seems like he's been here.
I am proud to say that I enjoy Justin's music and respect him as an artist. My only hope is that he grows up to take more pride in the music, rather than the publicity.
On a side note, why has "gay" become a term for "uncool" or "stupid" or "ugly" or...well...negativity in general?

What if you just plain don't like his music? If i repeat the same 10-15 words for about 3-4 minutes, maybe i can get famous too
i can see it now, here is my song
"pussy, pussy, pussy allll night pussy pussy pussy all night pussy pussy pussy all night~~~ i know you will always be minnnnnnnne " XD sorry if that was inappropriate, but i couldn't help it. (if you sing it like baby baby, it will go well with it)

Lol see that I can respect though. Ok so the song I think you identify with when you hear justin bieber is "Baby"...by far his worst song ever. Most of his other songs are pretty good actually (and non-repetitive, inventive). It's just the stupid music critics somehow liked that one the best.
I realize he probably didn't write this one himself (though his is the primary songwrite on all of his music, actually)...but till....he's a great singer, nonetheless. It's not about whether you like it or not...I mean, I haaaaaaate Taylor Swift....but I still think she is an amazing performer and musician.

I really don't care for him... at all. As far as im concerned, he's just another kid that somehow gets famous on talent that isn't exactly unusual or great. In my opinion, he needs to get a freakin' haircut and go through puberty so he doesnt sound like a girl when he sings. I ticks me off though when I click on a song by Disturbed or Rise Against and the only comments are about how suckish Bieber is. Who really cares? Wrong side of the world music-wise anyways. We just make him money everytime we click on his videos

Your voice actually has very little to do with biological growth. It's almost entirely defined by your environment. In many countries, you'll find that the average person's voice is higher or lower...entirely based on where they live. The human mind learns speaking by mimicking others...so naturally, if the child is raised somewhere where pitch is higher, he will mimic a higher tone.
On the other end of the spectrum, there is what we would call the "gay lisp". You noted a few days ago when we were chatting that my voice seemed higher. I have an explanation for that actually! According to Dr. Gray, my anthropology professor last semester, the gay "lisp" and high tone associated with gay men is actually learned. Gay/bi men who are open about their sexuality no longer have the crutch of having to keep up their "macho masculine tough guy" image...and can further identify as feminine in their actions without caring about what society thinks. Men act like men because that is how they are "supposed" to act in our society. That theory only goes so far...because biology does still make up some of the outcome voice...but it seems spot on.
I do agree that he needs a haircut again. He would look amazing. Photoshopped picture below.

Exactly what I mean. It's one thing if people don't like his music (or any musician's music for that matter)...it's another if they have no respect for the person as an artist and no fact to support their lack of respect "He's gay" doesn't count, Mr. Youtube Trolls! I get what you're saying.

I hate him.
1. I don't care if he's gay or what but his voice is just annoying. 2. His fanbase is a bunch of obsessed loser girls. Believe me, I know enough of his fans [whatever that says about me] to make the observation that they act like he's their brother. Me: "Bieber sucks" Her: "OMG YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS DON'T EVEN TALK LIKE THAT ABOUT HIM IT'S NOT TRUE SERIOUSLY JERK HE'S SO NICE AND I LOVE HIM OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG" 3. I have a passionate hate for mainstream music, at least where it stands now. Gaga/rihanna/bieber/kesha/lame bands can go die in a fire. 4. The only talent he has is being able to do what his producers tell him to 5. He is not an artist, he is one of the more successful pawns of the greedy fat cats in the music industry 6. He's a douche. The way he acts on camera just makes me want to punch him in his tiny nuts and kick his teeth in. 7. He's Canadian (joking) [kind of]

Yeah that's the thing, he's almost 17. Feminine dudes are just annoying and lame. Especially when they shave their legs and wear Uggs to school. I want to be able to comfortably talk about normal guy stuff without having to be... concerned

What is a gay guy going to do that could make your concern valid? LOL

Another thing I hate (if I didn't already say this) is that everyone is talking about him, all the time.
One of the better comments from YouTube, this one on a random Lamb of G[o]d. video. COMPLETELY unrelated, but it never ceases.

Whether its the thousands of haters or millions of fans, I'm tired of hearing about him. The fact that this thread exists annoys me.

It's just weird. I don't know if anyone else can empathize with this but personally I feel weird talking to feminine guys about videogames or the military or motorcycles, if I even try.
On that note, why do straight girls like gay guys so much?

Psssssst, you're talking to one right now and have talked to me about the military, airsoft, automobiles, etc

Because they can identify with them. Gay/bi men spend less time trying to be that macho tough guy and more time caring about what really matters in life.

Okay I will admit that "Pray" has good lyrics but I'm pretty sure that it's a remake. And the reason that me, and a bunch of the people I know, don't like him is mostly cause of his movie coming out. I mean he is starring as himself in a movie about himself. You have to be pretty suck up do that. And thats really the main reason why people I know don't like him.

Bi =/= feminine
You have to understand that not all "gay" men act like pussies. We identify two different types of homosexuals in the world...peacocks and dogs. Peacocks being the "softy" (loosely "woman"), dog being the "protector" (loosely "man")...just as in the straight world. The definition of masculine and feminine have meaning only if you give them meaning. I happen to give feminine the meaning of having emotion-based mannerisms, non-muscular physique, and atypical male tone. In that sense, Bieber may appear effeminate...without necessarily being "gay". Some of the biggest tough guys I know are gay. Social definition of masculine and feminine are entirely arbitrary really...they're just fun because it helps you categorize people, whether it's right or not
You can be feminine without being bi/gay in that sense as well. Just as you can be bi/gay without being feminine.

I can only name one of my many female friends that like either of those lol.

Pray, along with most of his other songs, probably remind you of Michael Jackson. JB takes alot from MJ's work.
As for the movie...I'm sure it wasn't his idea lol. Even if it was...can you blame him? If I was that famous and that loved and that confident in my abilities, I'd probably want the whole world to know as well. You can't blame him for wanting to do things with his life. I won't see the movie....because he's not an actor...he's a musician.
Lest we forget all the other musicians that made movies about themselves staring themselves. The feature film, "A Hard Day’s Night", starring The Beatles comes to mind Shine a Light...starring the rolling stones on tour LOL the U2 concert movie in 3D? You've gotta have a big head to think the world wants to see your ugly face in 3D

Why is this such a big deal? Justin Bieber sucks hard ones. Plain and simple.
No need to investigate him, or write a research paper.
"The other day, I saw justin beiber walk into a restroom, he came out after 5 minutes with what appeared to be mayo on the corner of his mouth"
True words from a reporter right there.
