| I love Mp5Ks. The classic Mp5K around your price range would be the model manufactured by Galaxy. http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-GX-MP5K-G5.htmIt's received decent reviews and despite the not-so-popular company name, they actually did a good job on this gun. It'd be worth checking into. There are also various holsters you can purchase to carry this model either on your side or even across your chest. | |

| i don't care for that mp5 k because of the fixed vertical foregrip personaly, i would get a gas pistol because the you can carry it in any normal holster and it is great for cqb. | |

Yeah, personally I'd prefer to carry a pistol as well, but it all depends on what he wants to use the gun for. In my experience pistols don't make effective CQB weapons for extended periods of battling. They're more for short durations of defense as opposed to an offensive fight against multiple people. Their mags typically only hold between 10-25 rounds, you have to refill the mags with gas after 1-2 mags worth of BBs, and the magazines are so darn expensive - I paid $45 a piece for mine!

| I'm not too sure about the Galaxy MP5k- Ard777 Bought one and it died on like the first or second day or somewhere in there, I think the second. Anywhoo, for more info on that situation PM him. But that is really all I can say about it.....EXCEPT for this: INTRODUCTION: My Friend Fish had this gun for a brief time period, and in that time period I took many opportunities to fire it and test it out. It will serve you well in just about any scenario, but I am very skeptical as to if it would be able to compete with higher-end guns, such as my Thompson M1A1, my JG SOC16, and most of the KWA M4 series. However, I am a HUGE fan of Heckler & Koch, (The company that came out with the real steel model of this gun, along with many other famous guns such as the MP5) This gun is more on the level of my UTG M3 shotgun, or some other guns i can get at maybe...... That being said, here is my review. ACCURACY of the MP5K is not too great, even for a such a short barrel. I could hit those little trees that are about three inches wide from a maximum of twenty feet away. I can engage a human size target from about a maximum of 60-80 feet, 60 feet being an almost guaranteed hit, 80 feet being a lucky shot. POWER is not this guns strong spot, however It isn't horrible. I am not quite sure if 320 FPS is quite an accurate number, but it could be in that neighborhood. I think maybe a little less. I was hit in the face with it four times when Fish stuck the barrel between through two fence posts, and it did indeed sting, enough to make me blatenly curse very loudly in a neighborhood with a family and two little kids out on the deck in the house next to us. however only one of the four left a good welt, just above my upper lip. The other three left tiny dots which went away in about twenty minutes. ROF/RPM is agreeable, I would say it is around 650 RPM. But the thing is, 650 is the HIGHEST. when the battery is halfway to one-fourth charged, it's only about 550 RPM. And that's rubbish. And in Semi-Auto, this gun does NOT sing. The trigger pull-to-shot time is too long. And If you pull the trigger two many times too fast on semi-auto, the gun will just cease firing and make a *Click* noise when the trigger is pulled. When this happens, do not worry, just put the gun on fully automatic and shoot it a few times, then go back to semi and it should be fine. However, during a war that is unacceptable, especially because it happens so easily with this gun. If you are looking for some sweet double-taps, this guns is NOT for you. MAGAZINE/CAPACITY of this gun is just fine with me. Uses standard MP5 mags, and is compatible with most Marui mags. It is also compatible with the UTG MP5 magazines. The mag it comes with holds around 150-200 BBs if I recall correctly. The mag had few jams, and had a fairly larger than normal wind up wheel. EXTERNALLY this gun is pretty sweet, it has a really nice body. it is almost all really dense ABS plastic, with a few metal parts (the usual, sling rings, sights, barrell, etc) One thing you DON'T have to worry about is breaking this gun. It is VERY durable. I have witnessed it being dropped down porch steps, a full flight of carpeted steps, and on concrete sidewalks and streets more than a few times. THE OVER ALL QUALITY of the JG MP5K is not the best, but hey, a huge part of quality is whether the gun will last or not. And this gun is sure to last! I would say the following stats are something to think about: JG MP5K: Accuracy: 6/10 Power: 7/10 Range: 7/10 Durability: 9/10 Looks: 10/10 ROF/RPM: 5/10 WHAT TO CONSIDER is that this gun is cheap, and you just about get what you pay for. But the only thing I would use this for is for a side arm to keep on a sling at my waist when I'm sniping, for that, this thing would do perfect. But, that being said, you can get a KWA MAC 11 for almost the same price and that thing is SO MUCH BETTER, and both are meant to be sidearms. This gun can compete very well with guns of the 8o-140 price range, i guess. I would classify it as a mid-grade AEG. For a decent side arm, this thing well get the job done. ......But thats it | |

| LIsten here I have a great c02 powered 1911 gas pistol by tsd. The mag hold fifteen round and they only cost 14.99 a piece. This fits in any normal holster. The co2 lasts about 250 rounds at 400 fps. The gun costs 39.99 and is very reliable. BUY FROM EVIKE because they also have a great return policy for that bad apple gun. | |

| Nice review M14, but was this for a JG MP5K like you said at the end or a Galaxy MP5K you said at the beginning. Im not too impressed with JG MP5's only the G36C and the M4 some of the other things they make have some issues not worth fixing.
A while ago on another forum far far away, we came to a point where the question was brought up by one of our veteran members, and it was. What is the best gun that a casual player can afford? The requirements had to be that the gun was strong in ROF and accuracy overall. Not neccesarily range. The gun also had to be below $115 at MOST.
You guys think about it. I'll let you know if I can find a good answer...
Oh wait, this may be a thread hijack, but I don't care, were looking for decent sidearms this is how we determined the Best affordable gun.
I'll make another thread for further discussion.

| The title of the gun I was doing a review for originally was a JG, but I have actually had more experience with a Galaxy, and pretty much all of that still applied with the Galaxy version. Most of that review is actually about the Glaxy version. sorry for the Mix-up | |

You (or your friend) may have had a bad experience with it - but overall it's still received great reviews. Also, you normally shouldn't expect amazing results from a gun like an MP5K. They're sole purpose typically isn't as a primary rifle. They're meant either as a backup or to pull out in CQB situations against possible multiple targets within short to mid ranges (ex. clearing out buildings).

| Thats true, ADMIN, and if it sounded like I was just completely flaming the gun, I was not trying to imply that. But I just didn't particularly like the gun- just everytime I shot it I got the feeling it was going to fall apart, and it just had terrible quality. Just an opion | |

lol. Darn Chinese guns! I think it makes playing that much more enjoyable - not knowing if your gun is going to fall apart or not. (adds challenge) And it's fine if you hate the gun, or even if you were "flaming" the gun. I'd like to get an update on what's going on with your decision though Alabama.
