| Hello, I was wondering if you guys knew of any problems with the accuracy and/or the internals of the UTG L96. I have had it for a while and I'm trying to figure out why it shoots so inconsistently. I am using Crosman 6mm 0.25g BBs and I'm thinking about switching to BioShot 6mm 0.25g BBs. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

| don't use crosman in an L96 so try different bbs atleast TSD and if its the black version of the L96 they have a natural curve | |

| Alright, I will use my BioShot 6mm 0.25g BBs that I have to see if they make a difference in the accuracy. Also, do you think buying a 6.01mm or 6.03mm MK96 barrel and a better hopup chamber would do much of a difference or is it not worth the cost? | |

I would definetly get a new hop up, madbull hop up bucking, madbull/prometheus 6.01 TBB, and USE .30'S!!!! And biodegradable bbs tend to do crappy in snipers.

| Don't use Crossman BBs, try KSC Perfect, AirsoftGI brand, ICS, etc. | |

| Thanks for the help guys, and David you have the same last defense as I do.
Anyways, do you guys know where they sell UTG L96 replacements parts?
Lastly, are all the upgrades you listed on one U.S. website?

| I'm guessing you could get all the upgrades at Airsoft GI. I would suggest not buying UTG replacements, but upgraded third-party parts. They will generally last longer than the stock parts and give better performance. | |

| Ok, well I was wondering where I could get replacement parts because some of the screws and screw holes have been stripped and the check rest adjuster snapped after I tightened it too much.
I have used the BioShot 6mm 0.25g BBs and I did see alittle bit of improvement over the Crosman 6mm 0.25g BBs and I turned the hop up off.
Also, would white lithium grease harm the gun?
Lastly, would upgrading this gun be worth it? I would have to buy a lot of different upgrades and replacement parts. I could just sell it and buy a newer gun.

| BTW, don\'t use a 6.01 Barrel, go with 6.03. | |

| Ok, I cleaned the gun, adjusted the scope, and used my Bioshot 6mm 0.25g BBs and the accuracy was almost dead on. The 6mm 0.30g BBs might make it even more accurate and this guide might help to. Link: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Stock-MK96-Dummies-t172200.htmlAlso, does evike.com or airsoftgi.com sell all the upgrades I would need to make it more accurate? | |
