| Hello, Accordion Kid here.
So, I was wondering if it was better to have a Green gas (or propane or similar gas) or a CO2 pistol in my neck of the woods. Since I live in Washington its usually between 55 and 45 degrees. I figured this might be a little low to use a green gas pistol, so I've considered a CO2 pistol. Also, I wasn't sure if this thread should be in this section or the Which Gun? section, so please tell me if I need to move it or not.
I was thinking of also getting a 1911 but please let me know if this type of gun is less efficient than another type, or if this is even a factor for most guns.
Thanks in advance. | |

| This section is fine. The type of pistol really doesnt differ from another. The working's are usually all the same. Co2 is always harder on internals than Green or Red Gas. I don\'t know much about temperatures, but I think that's fine. | |

| ^ Yep
Also both suck in cold weather. Mid 50's should be to bad though, wouldn't trust the gun to cycle through an entire mag once it gets closer to the lower 40's.

| I know that both aren't to good in cold weather, but I heard CO2 is better.
plus I was selecting these ones because the only really OK AEP is the (I believe) Well Skorpion.

| CO2 is horrid in cold weather. Never used it in an airsoft gun in cold weather before but in paintball it's almost useless. | |

| Co2 is less affected by the cold than green gas but co2 costs a lot, 50 cents for 3 mags (if your lucky) of propulsion. If you go with propane then its $3 for like 500 mags, its a better deal. | |

This is true, but I wasn't comparing cost. I was mainly asking if I could use propane or green gas in my cold weather environment, since there be no use in saving 50$ if you never use the thing.

I do not reccomend it in a cold environement, 40 degrees or less and you can't even get through half a mag.
