BBs giving me away

you can find boxes of eight midcaps for around sixty buck on various sites. If you need to reload magazines in middle of game you may be spraying and praying too much. Try being more diciplined with your shots. Two or three taps at a time. Unless your position is being overrun by large numbers and you are trying to mow them down. I used hi cap mag for a while till I had a couple of experiences with the sliding door open in my mag pouch in the dark an felt bb's pouring onto my legs as I pulled mags out of pouch. Mid caps are the way to go. I usually carry 10. 1 in the gun and 3 triple pouches on my vest. Unless it's going to be a long mission. Then I add another triple mag pouch. Part of playing realisticly is running low on ammo.

I shake them as much as I can and then scream like an Injun and scalp all who get in my way!

if your defending a position you could always keep some ammo there and if your down to your last mag just run back to the base if your not there already, but it only really works for that situation.

To sum up what's already been said:

1: Pad the inside of your BB container, or make a container out of cloth.
2: Get a thigh rig or vest and carry extra mags and speed-loaders, mid-caps are quieter than hi-caps because they have no reservoir, and mid-caps can commonly be found for a decent price in box deals. Or get a drum mag, more noise due to larger reservoir, but you won't need extra mags.
3: Conserve ammo and take a few carefully-aimed bursts rather than unloading every time you see the enemy.
4: Move carefully and quietly. If you move right, your BBs won't rattle.

I'm a strong proponent of carrying extra mid-caps, and speed-loaders also for longer games. I wouldn't carry loose BBs on me unless I'm going to constantly be on the move, never returning to any sort of base, for hours at a time. And of course, if you need to carry a bag or bottle of BB's, make sure you pad it with something to mute them a bit.
