| I wanna be a smith but just for fun , maybe sell a few , keep some for my own . My buddies consider me as creative , and I am , so it wouldn't be hard for me to design one . I am handy with my hands and great with woodworking , so that shouldn't be a problem . Anybody else out there like me , any smith got tips . I'm all ears . | |

| Hi Bama, What kind of tips are you looking for ?? I say, Go with what you know !! If your good with your hands, and really into wood working, I would be thinking about making something along the lines of a Full Walnut Stock for an L96, VSR, Thompson, Bring something new and different out, some of the best AirSoft rifles I have seen are done in wood, G3, M14, M1, just to name a few. If you really want to be differnet on the Playing Field, be the first ever to walk onto the field with a Black Ash, M16 , except for the Pistol Grip, everything else could be done from wood !!! Or you could go Balls Out and attempt to make something like this, http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b08_1215025198 | |

| You can make your own gun. but you would end up having to buy specialized parts or machining your own parts like what Slob and his team did. Just making a gun out of store bought parts is near impossible because some like CA, SYSTEMA, are proprietary and only fit certain models | |

| I'm trying to make HPA and or Co2 powered guns. Right now I'm just converting paintball guns to fit AR bodies. If anyone has seen the WA gas M4 its sick. I just need a way to make my gas systems self contained, then Ill be ready for business! I do most of my mechbox work for myself now but I couldn't open a mechbox till the middle of last year. Upgrade springs are a B****! sticks | |

| I am very good with my hands and love doing it and I was thinking about making a wooden stock a JG Bar 10 , then purchase a barrel and the rest of the internals , instead of spending time on metal working . I could do the metal working , my Dad is a 4-wheeler / lawmower mechanic for a living so he does a lot of welding and stuff , but still am I doing the right thing here , ( P.S. I went with the Bar 10 because of its easier and sleeker looking design , against the L-96's more complicated design . ) | |

| I made a VSR stock, but the VSR needs a new piston and I need to figure out a way to keep the mag in place. Its an AICS stock(L96 style), with a dark stain.... I used Cedar because it is so light an manipulative(and it didn't hurt the wallet).
I'll get pics up when I can, probably if I actually get around to making that review of the MTC that I got lol.

I recommend STARTING with a base gun, then just upgrading that to make a 'Custom' Gun | |
