McAfee is like a crossman pulse r72. if you want a comparison I have over 400 USD in crap to scan my computer. there is no true, 'best' antivirus. Mcafee being one of the worst anlong w/ nortan is a accurate statement.

| Ok not to be rude but mabby it is your computer not the software. It be like running a windows game on a mac it does not work. And to quote you $400 in scanning software and you have mcfee and northen it is your hardware of your computer. So is your computer running slow or is it getting virus and what opperating system do you have.
On a side note you can adjust the setting to be very strict to vertuly not at all.

| Ok sorry I haven't been on in a while but because of that hacker , my computer has crashed and won't work properly , I am on some one else's computer at the moment . I beg you not to delete my account , Admin or the Mods , due to inactivity , because I probally will not be able to get on much anymore until I can get a new computer . It may be a good three or four months before this can happen , unless I can fix my computer . The virus is gone , but the aftermath is great . My two year old HP XP flat screen computer is a big over sised paper wieght at the moment . I will try to get back on sometimes soon , but I can't make any promises . See you and until then , bye . | |

| Lone Wolf you have that backwards so it does not seam right. If you have to many virus scanners on yuor computer one will usaly try to kill the other but Mcfee and Northan will work togeather. | |

| lol...no, once upon a time when i was not in charge of household computers my dad had both av's on our computers.tell you what if you want to talk about a fit then BSOD. :X How I am able to scan my computer w/ multiple av's is because the AV programs are not actually on the computer itself. the only internet security av i have is avast. BUT i have several boot cd' s which are linux based. these boot cd's immediately go straight to the av and I can still do a entire scan of the network. AKA rescue CD's. that way if I get a massive virus that avast can't do anything about. i have several rescue CD's to do that for me. And no, im not going to tell you where to find the av boot images. glad to help | |
