| This is an excellent gun for the spotters role. This was my second AEG and I still have it. The AUG is a bullpup rifle which means the magazine is behind the trigger. Tokyo Mauri did an excellent job with the AUG making it feel extremely sturdy. The entire barrle and reciever assembly is made of a heavy metal that is very sturdy. The stock on the TM AUG is the same as the real deal being made of a thick abs polymer. The AUG can be easily broken down to three seperate peices in less then 30 seconds!!!! This is made possible by a small slide that allows the barrle to be removed this is both the outer and inner barrle which would allow you to swap between a hbar, standard, or para modle aug in less then 10 seconds. Being of the bull pup desgine the aug houses the second largest barrle of any AEG (the psg1 being the longest at 650mm) The total inner length of the barrle is 590mm with the total length of the gun being only that of about a M4. Being the civilian modle this comes with a built in weaver rail up top for mounting of optics. I found a three power 30mm worked great for spotting enemys at a moderate distance. The AUG appears to be extremely loud when firing giving a plesent "THWACK" sound due to the mech box being right next to your head. The AUG is easy to modify and can be a reliable gun as long as you matain it propperly. I enjoyed mine and have recieved multiple comments on it's versitility, looks, and on how the gun is seldom seen due to people buying more mainstream AEGs. So This is my current load out TM AUG (civie) -PDI 130% spring -TM high speed motor -Systema bushings -Systema piston head -9.6 battery -using dual rubber extraction covers -a custom mechbox enclosure that holds mechbox in more firmly. | |

| It also would work great as a semi auto sniper if you put the money into it to get it up to about 450fps. The main reason it would be so good is the fact that it would be about 1-2 foot shorter than any other sniper rifle due to the design. Plus it looks like something out of a Star Wars film. | |

| Even though you spelled German wrong... yes it is pretty much guaranteed that the crazy German is bound to have an AUG. Not sure why, it just makes sense.

| Wow, that was a bad time to mis-spell something. I guess when I am off of the playing field I am not perfect either. | |

| He is really sort of an Ex-TM user. It is a REALLY nice, reliable replica though. I would consider it as a good backup. The only problem is, once you shoot it a bit you start thinking you could replace your primary with it. | |

| I am surprised that Echo 1 released an Aug... that is pretty cool. I would have to agree with Fox though, the Phantom AUG's are pretty nice looking. I also REALLY like the shorter paratrooper models, which pretty much have to be fabricated now... I havent seen the kit anywhere for quite some time now. | |

| I LOVE Echo 1s and will always have a specail place in my heart for them b/c it was my first "real" airsoft gun but there is NO WAY E1s are better than tokyo maruis. I was just being sarcastic for slackers sake. I just don't think he likes Echo 1 that much. OOO and another note since we are talking about AUG's. I hated them until I saw Slackers it is simply amazing I highly doubt that E1 Phantom II AUG will hold a flame to it, but I still think its cool they made an AUG. My next gun is going to be a TM, that'll make two TM and 1 E1 for my collection | |

| Well, actually the Echo 1 with the same amount of money in it might be close to his to be honest. It probably wouldnt have as tight of a pattern, but if you put a Systema high speed motor, Systema high speed gears, Systema M110-M120 spring, metal spring guide, Echo 1 bore up kit, tightbore barrel, metal shims, and a few other goodies in it running on a 9.6v-10.8v battery you would have an amazingly high rate of fire and chances are it would perform fantastic for you. TM's are nice, there is no doubt they are reliable when left in stock form. Some are a bit plasticy, but generally they do feel pretty good and as Slacker's AUG has proven... THEY WONT DIE!!!! | |
