| Hi, first off sorry if this is in the wrong section, but i am just wondering what scope for your guns (sniper and AEG) everyone is using. I am looking for high quality (doesnt break within the first week) scope for both (well mostly for my sniper rifle) and just an all around good one. Oh and for AEG ones i don't care if it is red dot, green dot, or no dot.
Thanks, -EGsniper | |

| I would look at any thing at your local shop for a hunting scope, or buy anything leapers for a sniper. | |

| What model guns are we looking at?
Anything G&P is great, though it may be out of you price range($50-$200).

| I use the Golden Image 3-9x40 Mil-Dot Scope,
Great field of view, and with the Red/Green illumination, works really well in low light situations. | |

| This should probably be in the Gear section, but anyway this is actually a great thread. ACOG all the way. SwissArms makes pretty great red dots, I have a $50 red dot "scope" from them (no maginification) But it's a really fine scope. Can be very highly tuned. | |

| Yeah i have been hearing a lot of good things about leapers scopes. I will definately look into leapers, i am looking into Leapers Golden Image 3-9x40 Mil-Dot Red/Green illuminated right now and will most likely buy it for my sniper. Any other recommendations for say an AEG? Or is a dot "scope"(or any AEG "scope") worth even getting? If so I have an M4 at the moment if that helps anyone. | |

| It kinda depends on what type of play you plan on doing for example playing in the night it would really help so you can shoot in the area you want to but in the day its not necessary. | |

| I would say yes a red dot on and AEG would be worth it. Most people think red dots are only good for CQC or indoor games. Not true. Iron sights on an AEG are not the most accurate, and they most likely do not hold a zero very well(M16 style). Plus a red dot gives quicker target acquisition. Meaning you can line up with the target easier.
I would advise you get a brand name red dot to avoid parallax. Parallax is where the dot moves depending on you cheek weld, therefor it gives an untrue zero.
