Anyone read about the systema revolution gearbox?

Here are a couple of links:

well i can tell you that it wont perform like a PTW's mechbox because they had to make it compatible (gears and lower mechbox parts) with other after market parts. but it is kinda nice not having an anti reversal latch or a tappet plate.

i probably wont pay the $300-$400 to get one of these when they come out. but maybe if they make a V.7 i would drop one in a china M14. but its too expensive to add to my setup now.

I would like to get one for my M4, but I want to see the price first. $300-$400 is probably a good guess.

Honestly, I would imagine a lot of companies will start going towards this design of mechbox. Kinda seems like the wave of the future to me. Since my AEG's are in pretty good shape, I doubt I would buy one for it... but if I buy one in the future I would look for one with this mechbox in it (if available).

i hope other companies will do this to their guns in the future(most notably TM, because this would bring them back to the head of the pack). it would be kinda nice having a Mechbox with a pre installed MOSFET(electronic trigger that makes a quick response, and the trigger contacts never wear out). but now that i realized that they had a mosfet with a different name im thinking that the price might be a little higher considering a MOSFET alone is in the $200-$300 range.

im still not going to get one for my M4 any time soon

I know saying this may cause some serious problems... but paintball guns have been using electronic triggers for probably 5-6 years now and they are pretty cheap to make... I am sure something could be incorporated for airsoft that would work.

TM needs to start making full metal bodies pretty much a standard on all their replica's if they want to keep up. They have the best stock internals of any company... why not have the best externals as well? They did a fantastic job on the Scorpion SMG they made not to long ago. The largest piece of plastic on the whole gun was the grip...
I have seen TM's that I liked but for the most part I cant make myself buy something that is pretty much entirely plastic regardless of how good it is. Smile The few TM's I would definitely consider would be an AUG, P90 or G36 variants. However, Slacker owns an TM AUG, I own a CA36 and I dont need a P90. Very Happy
