Ghllie Suit question

(Kind of a stupid question but whatever) Do you think it's a good idea to use a ghillie suit, even if you're not sniping ?

for not sniping? no.
it'll make you a bigger target if you run around,
and you'll get SWEATY AS "Watch your language".

No not during the summer time and w/o sufficent training/practice your pretty much Sasquatch with a rifle. (easy target)

But seriously, Lone Wolf is correct, without the Practice, and some training in using a Ghillie, it is not worth the energy or Dehydration.

I recommend learning the ropes in stealth movements before investing in a ghille suit. You don't need to be a sniper to use one, but if you plan on getting up close within AEG range you need to be invisible.

And of course, not Sasquatch with a rifle

yeah, don't have a ghillie suit if your not gonna be a sniper.

Actually Assult, not all ghille suit users have to be snipers.
Take a Sniper Team for example.
One man is the sniper, and the other is the spotter.
The spotter carries a weapon of his choosing, while the sniper carries a rifle, with a scope of his choosing.

Their both wearing ghillie suits, to blend in with their surroundings.

yeah your right, but arnt the spotter and the sniper a team? i mean outside a sniper's spotter and himself. sorry i should be more spicific next time...

Yea you should be okay if your entire squad uses ghille.

only if you are trying to go behind enemy lines or be very gunshy and stealthy

Actually, the principle behind a ghillie suit is not imitation, it is blending. You don't want them to see you and think "oh, thats a bush". You want them to simply overlook you.

i think only snipers should wear a ghillie suit, they are mostly for camping, and i hate unless you are sniping then thats okay

well, I as a scout sniper often just use a simple OD shirt and pants or get matching colors

Well for ambush purposes i have wisper sqaud we form with ghillies and as riflemen to setup ambushes. a guy with a SAW that pops outa nowhere is quite devestating.

I know, but I just didn't really understand what "SnOWWoLF" said.

(talking about what was said a few posts back) the sniper and spotter both wear the ghillie to blend in like already stated and i wouldn't really call the spotter any type of infantry soldier because he's helping the sniper its not like he's up running around shooting the enemy, he only uses the gun he has if SHTF. Just saying i wouldn't make the spotter an example of this topic.
