KWA m4a1 gas block/ triangle sight/ rails

ok so I want to put UTG rails on my KWA m4a1 and install a Gas Block but will I have to remove that ring thats behind the triangle sight that holds the 2 standard handguards together?

KWA told me the ring was just sandwhiched in between but would i still need to get rid of it?

well try to take off the hand guards and see for your self
