mp5 gear?

im trying to think what kind of vest and uniforms etc would go best with my MP5? i was thinking maybe a german flecktarn uniform. but right now i am unsure

What unit are you trying to replicate. Personally I would go with some sort of plate carrier/Cummberbund combo as most of the situations the require a Mp5(cqc) would also require the extra protection of a plate and soft armor. Thats for real units only though, and more importantly it would be used as a reference for VBSS and or a SWAT/SRT unit.

well i was hoping to do some aspec of gsg-9 using fleckarn. i can't wear all black. olive drab and woodland bdus (or something similiar like flecktarn) are a must as i play in a mixed jungle MOUT facility

For shyt's sake don't base it on CoD SAS. They look different in real life.

yeah like creed posted do an sas loadout either urban dig or a grey jumpsuit then have a black swat like fest mitch helmat, and a grey gas mask it would be sexxxy

That should be a little help, pic out an image you like and I might be able to help locate a replica vest. Try PM-ing Slob about this to, I have no idea what he could find in a German surplus store.

i would say the look i would be going for still has to be able to blend in easily with woods i don't wanna be a nice big black dot. but i would like something like this pic from the thread from page 3 with the ump http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?72275-Germany-s-Elite-Soldiers/page3 (2nd pic down)

This one was a tuffy, but I think I have located it. it looks like the German IDZ plate carrier with larger G36 pouches. It is MOLLE so you could add some Mp5 pouches easily.

Reasons I think it was that is because it has the snap buttons(as does the pic) and in the pic the guy has shoulder protectors on, which usually require a plate carrier.

Here is a flecktarn CIRAS, which is a semi similar looking vest that serves the same function. Its also allot cheaper!

But that's the SAS. He wants the GSG-9.

I'll look it up later, but there was a Military Channel show about the GSG-9. Don't remember the name, but search Military Channel GSG-9 and you'll probably find it. About a real op that they did, pretty cool stuff.

No, it was specifically about Special Operations units and operations.

yes is chronoed at 450 - 300 = 150 fps i returned it.... i bought a tightbore for my m4 and some other goodies... so dissapointed

actually the shop owner said it was indeed JG, but it was some sort of new version that had a plastic gearbox. he was dissapointed that i was dissapointed. but he was cool about it thankfully
