Game Report - 4/3/10

Today, I played a good 5.5 hours of airsoft. Here's my report.

Scenario One: Mexican drug cartels vs. DEA
Objectives:
- Drug cartels: Deliver the 'package' safely to a designated drop zone, return to secret hide-out
- DEA: Capture enemy forces, secure 'package' of drugs, secure safely @ base, recover enemy intel
Report
In this scenario, I was on the Mexican team. We started out waiting for the phone call from the buyer of the 'drugs', while an officer and 3 others went out to scout the area. The three came back hit and the officer/team leader captured hostage. During an ambush by the DEA, I hit 2 guys out before I was tagged while treating a casualty. After our team was captured (we pretty much had to surrender, they had 2 M203's and a hand grenade on us), our team leader was taken to the base and kept hostage.

Scenario Two: Rebels vs. Green Berets
Objectives:
- Rebels: Recover hostage commandant, destroy enemy base with a "bomb" if possible
- Green Berets: Defend base, hit out all of the enemy team, secure the area and GTFO

After I hit 1 guy out, some dude needed to use my AK (and I let him) so I was stuck with my pistol and couldn't get close enough to the base to hit anyone without getting hit by an enemy.

Third Game: Team vs. Team (7 vs. 12)
Objectives
- Hit all of the other team before your last respawn. 3 respawns allowed per person before you're out for good[/b]
[b]Report: I was playing a support role at first, during that time I got 2 players out. Then I got a hit from a sniper and had to hold up the base. Got out again trying to hold a position, then got hit when a guy snuck up on me, leaving me out of the game. That makes it sound like it went by fast, but this game actually took about an hour and 20 minutes.

So I'm happy that I got to play today, it's been much too long since my last match. I also put in an application to one of the teams, so I'm hoping to hear from them soon.

Sounds like a good day of airsofting to me! Good luck getting on one of the teams, I hope they take you. "tagged" makes it sound like you guys were playing a very detailed game of tag, though. how about "out"?

Haha yeah I just realized that. I fixed it, for the most part.

haha, thanks, it kinda made airsoft look like something you'd do in Kindergarten. Although, it did give me an idea... maybe I'll run onto the field and tag somebody, then run away screaming "YOU'RE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and laughing like a little school girl.

And I forgot to say, we also had about half an hour of hand-to-hand combat. One guy had a rubber knife so we used it

It was Knife vs. Unarmed. The same guy had the knife the whole time though. It was 3 knife hits and you're dead. Unarmed had to disarm and get his 3 hits, or do a take down and choke until the guy tapped out. Knife had to get 3 hits.

So when I was against Knife, the first time, I had been hit twice already and then I got an amazing block on the knife and tried to disarm but he took me to the ground and tried to hit me in the neck. I was pushing his wrist away, trying to grab the knife, but after 30 seconds of struggling he found a way to grab my resisting arm, flip me over, and take a kidney stab.

The second time I was against Knife, I was trying to grab the knife, trip him up and take him down, disarm, then hit him 3 times. I deflected a strike and tried to sweep his legs, but he sidestepped, got behind me and choked me. Right when I was about to try the thing where you lean forward, taking the guy up and over you, he totally wrapped his legs around mine and fell backwards, taking us both down. I still didn't have any hits so he got in 2 rib hits and a throat cut.

This guy beat almost everyone who went up against him, he'd taken some sort of martial arts class for a few years.

The one guy who did beat him though, was a guy huge who was really good in Krav Maga and some other one that started with "E". He blocked a knife strike, did a takedown, disarmed, and made 4 hits all in about 2 seconds from the time the guy tried to strike to the time he was "dead".

This all really makes me want to take a Krav Maga class haha.

Hey, I just had my first game since summer as well!!
Playerd a good 4.5 hours, but packed it up when a close friend of mine got nicked in the tooth and lost half of it
We had got our goggles out of our facemasks because it was so hot today, we couldn't see a darn thing our goggles would fog up. Not the greatest idea.
