| I am intresested in painting my G&G m14. I would hire someone to do this but there are no places around me where I could get this gun. I would ship it to someone but I don't want to send my gun away. So I will ahve to do it my self. Can some one tell me where I can get good quality paint and just give me some advice/ how tos. Much appreciated | |

| Normally DIY paint jobs involve Krylon paint that pends on surface. i.e. plastic, wood, metal. I cut out designs and leaves, and paint over a base coat. the result is a two-tone camo finish.
I would love to do a steel with black on my G36C.
You can get technical to, for example, if you have RIS rails. Take them off, and you can do a camo design on them, then paint the rest of the gun. There are way more ideas out there, check out the custom paint job galleries on ASR's, ASF, and Arnies. Google Images may bring up some wicked stuff too.
Good luck | |

| Get some ultra flat spray paint from walmart get the colors you like your gun to be. Firsts start with the lightest color. Spray this with several layers. Then work your way up to black. It may help to make tensiles so you can make designs. If you want a shadow effect move the spray away from the gun along with the tensil. Before you start any of this cover any screw heads openings or anything else you don't want painted.Once you do this lay a primer coat. Well once you get done with all of the colors lay down a finish coat to keep it from chipping. And that should be it. If anyone else has any recomendations or you think something I said was not correct then by all means correct me. | |

| I would suggest painters tape. It doesnt leave a sticky glue behind and it is easy to remove. | |

- yo john, just check this out, there is a part 2 and 3 to this so check it out, i thought it was a very helpful gun,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JccYTrBLmVI&feature=channel Good videos (parts 1-3). Nice find. I also found one similar to those a while back on Youtube. I added it to TASS (my other website). Check it out, it's worth looking into as well. http://www.theairsoftsniper.com/videos2.html(it'll be the fourth video from the top) Just make sure you're careful. And allow PLENTY of time between coats. No use rushing it and risk smearing the paint. | |
