| So I ordered thet UTG MK96 od from airsoft Gi last week and should be recieving it sometime around wednesday. I ordered .30g bb's with it after reading that the heavier bb's will be more accurate trading off for more wear on the internals of the weapon. Hopefully I did the right thing. My buddy also ordered the mk96 and some .38's. Any info on these purchases would be greatly appreciated.
Id also like to get a side arm of some kind can you guys point me in the right direction for a fast pistol or small sub machine gun. I plan on spending most of my time in complete cover and concielment if its possible to do in an airsoft battle. So just in case I get overran Id like to have a quick back up.

| agreed KWA MAC 11. The only thing is I hear the mags aren't too great for it. I didnt have a problem with it, But I've heard a good ammount of stories about the magazines being faulty. | |

| You want the maruzen ppk/s!!! Haha its the most handiest little pistol around, and has never misfired on me once. Even though i'm not a sniper, i'd be glad to have that pistol around. Its size is extremely small, but it packs a powerful punch. Its major time was a few decades ago though, so no full auto. But, nevertheless, extremely reliable. Heres a link if interested. http://202.161.166.93/redwolf/airsoft/ProductDetail?prodID=22497I'm not exactly sure how to make the link pop out, the best thing i can do for you is have you copy it into your browser address. Also, it comes in black, but on that particular website, the black version is sold out. And one more thing, you can use propane in it. It says 220 fps, but thats with hfc 134, and not propane or green gas. It handles those gases well. Best of luck, ard | |

| The CYMA Glock is a great gun. Its a bit noisy, but its nothing compared to a GBB. I use a KSC M9, it works great for me. In the situations where I need to draw my pistol I'm either screwed or going on a suicide mission for the betterment of the team. I had to ambush a larger patrol of OPFOR along a trail so a VIP that we captured could get away(I had 2 others with me, 1 other sniper and someone with an AEG). Needless to say the VIP got away however we got "tagged" a little to much . I do use my M9 indoors, I think its better than any other gun if you play point(indoors). I say grab a KSC/KWA/TM or even a Western Arms GBB if you really want to have some fun. I wouldn't get a full metal gun unless you are getting a WA. Most of the metal on the cheaper full metal guns are not of quality. Plus more metal = more Gas spent. Also for whatever secondary you invest in, make sure if has a large capacity magazine. My M9 has 28 rounds for rocking! If you do not get the CYMA AEP, heres some GBB pistols I recomend. -TM Hi-Cappa series, its a 2011 so anyone familiar with the 1911 series will not have to much trouble getting used to it. It is much larger than a 1911 in the grip, but its no bigger than a Glock grip. Its a very very reliable gun. -TM 1911- same as hi-cappa, however only a single stack 15rnds in the mag. But otherwise its an awesome gun. -KSC/KWA Glock series, probably the most popular pistol series. Very reliable, nice mag capacity. -KSC/KWA M9 series. My M9 is a few years and 1 version old, but it still performs flawlessly. I had to mod it a few times but it takes a beating and keeps on going. The hop-up is not that great(its loose), but I'm sure it varies from gun to gun. I can still get a good 40ft with it when the hop-up if off though. This gun is very efficient. -TM Tac Master(M9)- very reliable, similar to the KSC however it does have a better grip(ergonomic style), it also has a better mag(it has an open spring follower, whereas the my KSC does not). Good mag capacity, mags are relatively cheap. -Anything from WA. If the other name brands I listed are Cadillac's, WA's are Bently's. It also has a Bently price tag though(nothing under $200). Well those are my recommended. Hers some brands that in my opinion you should stay away from. -WE. Alot of people get these guns, mainly because they have a metal slide/barrel and frame. The metal is not of quality and the mags tend to leak very fast. After about a year it should start to fall apart, the money to replace it with TM parts costs as much as a new WE. If you grab some TM mags and replace your gun every year you should be set, but I doubt you would want to do this. These are TM clones. - Some KJW. Some KJW are very nice, not quite as nice as KWA/KSC or TM guns. Some of their guns are TM copies, some are KSC copies. Most of the time they are full metal, its a hit or miss with these. Well that's pretty much it. if you really want to go for the Mac11. Its not a bad gun at all, however it is very big(for a sidearm). But in some cases the extra firepower is needed. The CYMA glock is also very nice, mags are super cheap as is the gun. But the slide does not move, so its not quite as fun a GBB(gas blow back, lol sorry if you didnt know). It does have a FA feature, which is really nice in some cases. I might pick me up one of these as a backup for my backup/loaner pistol. sticks | |

| Ugly?!! That may be so for some people, i mean personally i think its a great looking pistol, but besides that, it is very efficient. Of course, you don't always have to be unique and i guess you could get a glock... anyway, disco, its your choice, i'm just here to tell you about all of the different types of sidearms. | |

I agree ARD, that gun looks sick. The only downside I see is 220 fps..... @ Sticks, you are right about WEs. especially the mags, they leak so fast, so quickly...

| It is 220 fps with hfc 134a gas, like stated in my other post. With propane or green gas it is in the very high 200's or low 300's depending on temperature. And even though it says the gun is full plastic except the important parts, i must have gotten lucky. My gun is full metal, except the slide, which has outside metal plates in the slide, and inside there is a layer of plastic. Anyway, so i don't go on and on rambling about this gun, i'll sit back now and wait to see what disco decides. If you have any other questions on the ppk/s, tell me. I'll have to do a review on my thompson and the ppk soon...

| Ok so it seems like I may have a lemon on my hands here guys. Im not digging the mk96 so far. Ive had it for a couple days now and it is pretty inaccurate even with the scope and all the dialing in that I can do. My roomate ordered the same gun and his shoots great. SO now ive got an email out to airsoftgi looking for answers. Id hate to think that ive got to upgrade my gun to perform like his. | |

| A cheap and decent gun is the Crosman Airmag C11. I know what you will all say, but no this gun does not suck like many other Crosman guns. It is a Co2 gun that is not blowback. It shoots between 380-400 fps. It runs for approximatly $30-$40.
