| So i obviously play the sniper role, but i would prefer not to make or purchase a ghillie suit. what would you recommend that a sniper without a ghillie should wear? Just the same apparel as everyone else? A bit of insight would be great. | |

| Marine Style digital camo with a boonie hat (so that you can add plant life to your hat), face paint and paint over any part of your body that shows.
Carlos Hathcock never used a ghillie suit, and he did just fine, so it is possible to go without it. | |

| Well considering a Ghillie is not your standard MIL-Uniform, and as a Sniper, concealment is one of the skills that makes it easier for a Sniper to accomplish its mission, you may want to go Un-Conventional.
REAL TREE , has apparel for all seasons and terrain, a bit pricey, but you can also use it during Hunting Season.
Just a thought. | |

| Ya I'd say I'm more of an assault sniper. I wear multicam to most ops. I just make sure to get extra dirty and use paint so I blend in with my surroundings. Really, if you have a good "hiding" spot, a full ghillie suit is not needed. You can still be stealthy. In a way, you are more level headed while wearing conventional cam-patterns. With a ghillie suit, some players come to a point where they feel "invisible". That misaccount can lead to poor concealment skills. I've found multicam to be the best for my region. | |

| I play with snipers that don't use ghillies and one sniper does and hes just as easy to find as the players that don't wear them. Get some Marpat or Digi woodland or just plain old woodland. | |

| If that sniper with the ghillie is being found too easily then its the snipers fault not the suit. I think there are just too many variables to consider so i wont say what you need. | |

| To key to the sniper w/o a ghillie is concealment in the unexpected. W/O the advantage of a ghillie you obviously can not jst lay in a field. Take a position were you have no chance of being seen (under a tree, in a bush, and such) then choose places were people will not be expecting you. Also DIGI is the best (marpat) | |

| I'd say use your terrain to your advantage. People assume that a Ghillie will hide you no matter what. This is outrageous, I once was in a shallow depression with bright blue on and a guy walked within a foot of me without noticing. When I wear my ghillie I still act as if I'm not and I always assume that I'm the most visible player out on the field. | |

| How does you being 13 effect your feelings on Ghillies. and a good ghillie doesnt require more than $15-25. | |
