| I use a .270 Ruger, a Remington 30-06, and a Savage Arms 308. Love em all me my borther and dad go hunting with these rifles as well as target shoot love em go for it. Those calibers are great. 308 takes some getting used too. It kicks like a 12 gauge maybe more. | |

| Ok cool. I decided against the 770 cuz I've heard alot about it that is bad...like that it is cheaply made. So I'm going to go with .308 with some other rifle...im still looking | |

| I would suggest these two sites for your question,
snipercentral.com
snipershide.com
Thats where I got all of my info for my future rifle purchase. Can I ask what is wrong with the 700?

| well I've heard from alot of people that it is not worth the money. The action is rough and replacement parts are near to impossible to find. Thats the main reason. I need something that is expendable cuz I expect to be putting 1000+ rounds through it this year | |
