Spotter Equipment Empty
PostSubject: Spotter Equipment   Spotter Equipment Icon_minitimeFri Apr 17, 2009 3:30 am

Seeing how I have both a A.E.G. and a Sniper rifle, i'm thinking i'll start being a spotter and letting my friends use my sniper rifle. I was reading some spotter training, I understand what a spotter is. One question i do have is, what equipment should I bring? A red dot scope for my a.e.g.? Should I be carrying my sniper's magazines? Is there a specific binocular I have to use? Any information will help, thanks guys

The Sniper carries his own magazines,
A decent set of mini Bino´s with a good field of vision, but Bino´s are really only needed on large playing fields.

Not the greatest advice maybe but a chest rig
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_172&products_id=994
It holds alot like binoculars, medium amount of magazines you don't want to many but not to little depending on your event like 5 mags(also depending on what kind you have) it may stick out but it shud be lower to middle part of your chest and it wil squish down depending on your equipment

Also bring back up iron sights if appicable
Because the last thing you want is your red dot to die out and you can't sight or shoot properly

U need good optics as well. Me, i have the same scope as my sniper so we see the same thing. U really need high powered optics, i red dot will do for the AEG but u want a scope or binoculars. I perfer a scope because i can see where i am with the cross hairs. With binoculars you don't have the cross hairs to refrence of or use as a reference point.

My spotter is usually on their belly alot slightly close to me (but i don't like them to be right next to me because i use a ghille suit and that would give a way my position so we just use radios Razz) so that chest rig would probly not be the best idea for a spotter.
