| I was just wondering if anyone had a chance, would you rather have a designated sniper rifle, or would you rather have an A.E.G with a scope so you could use it as a sniper, and a rifle ? | |

| I would say a rifle with a scope. But thats only because I play assualt/infantry with a scope I could see farther and be ready for a fight I could also kind of hang in the back of the squad and pick off the enemy. Im not a fan of snipers I find them annoying when there not on your team. Also bolt action snipers are the worst IMO because you have to take your eye off the scope to pull the bolt back so if you miss you have to find the enemy again and get your scope on target again. If I had to buy a sniper it would have to be a SASS like an SR-25, M110 or a custom built M16 sniper. | |

| well..... there are some who prefer the bolt-actions
*they are easier to maintain *accuracy *and a rifle like the m16 is slightly outranged by a bolt
but.... | |

| As for range the difference is not to noticeable in some cases the main reason for the bolt action is that it is very quiet. You can take out several high profile targets before your spotted if at all. | |

| AEG with a scope, especially if I am using one that is tuned well. I use both a sniper rifle and used to use a SDMR, I can say that I was certainly more effective with my SDMR(Squad Designated Marksman Rifle). Yes a bolt action may be more quiet when you use a bolt action but I would rather send 10 loud shots down range than 4-6 quieter shots down range. When you upgrade a bolt action to shoot hotter than 400 it is noticeable anyways. Unless you are using a gas rifle with a working suppressor. From personal experience as playing a marksman, SDM, and mobile sniper(aka mobile sniper) roles I would choose an AEG any day over a bolt action.

| Yeah, I would say an a.e.g with a scope because, you could be the only sniper on your team and people are moving in on your position, so in case any one gets close, you can always still shoot at a high rate of fire, as supposed to having a bolt-action rifle. | |

| AEG with a scope, because if you're a sniper, and your cornered... you pretty much screwed. | |
