| I am just a newbie to the airsoft world and sniper world. But heard of the importance about scope, so wondering which one should I go for it with a reasonable budget.
Thanks for you guys.
BTW, is there anyone living around buffalo, NY, which I think we could have a battle game sometime?

| Hey there, buddy. A few quick questions before I am able to help you: 1) what sort of replica do you use? 2) what do you want your scope for? 3) what sort of player are you? 4) how much are you willing to spend? Answer those, and I'll see what I can do for you! edit: br55ftw is in Clinton, my bad. | |

| Thanks for replying and helping.
Seriously, I am just new to the field, so haven't decided what should I get for rifle. However, there was something in my mind, JG bar-10, L96(Mauser, Well or UTG), or similar replica.
And I would like to look for a serious powerful and accurate scope for them before I decide which one I would go for.
Lastly, my budget is no more than 200 for rifles and scope.
Thanks a lot buddy. | |

| May I suggest a Well or UTG L96 and an AirsoftGI 3-9 x 40 scope. Look around the forum for threads about upgrading your rifle and follow the tips, and you will own a mean sniper rifle. | |

| Thanks again! But I couldn't get the upgrade info about 96 and some of them only suggested the JG bar 10. Another concern is how much it would cost for future upgrades. Where can I get the parts and services since I don't know how to do that and most importantly I don't want to damage my baby. | |

| Leapers makes amazing scopes. You might like to look into them too. | |

| Try to look for some of the forum's snipers. They'll be able to help you a lot more than a rifleman/gunner (me), haha | |

| See if there's any airsoft or paintball shops in your area, they should hopefully know what to do and maybe even install them for you for a small fee. If there isn't any, you could always get to know your rifle a little better by watching some YouTube tutorials on how to disassemble/modify your gun and internals. I wouldn't recommend upgrading anything until about 6 months of use, when you can actually tell what upgrades you need. - Want more accuracy? New tightbore barrel and/or new hop-up bucking - More power? Bigger spring, better spring guide, and maybe a new piston I'm not so great with sniper rifles or modifications in general.. so don't go buying just because I said it might help . If some of our snipers would get involved here we could help you out more. | |

Thanks for your advices. I think you really make a great point of that. Now, I just focus on picking up the right rifle for myself. May be the utg mk96 with a mul-dot 3-9x40 illuminated scope. Appreciate for your help, guys. ------------------------------------------------------------- Btw, I am a drummer too. lol

| Take my advice, don't get a big scope that "zooms" as I call it, in really far, a "acog" type sight will work great, airsoft guns don't go as far as the scope... | |

Thanks for your advice. Minutes ago I just ordered the rifle and BBs online, and ready to go for a scope online too. I just happened to see your response when I was trying to take a break from watching the screen for hours. Seriously, I was so confused to pick one between Leapers 5th Gen 3-9x40 AO Mil-Dot Rifle Scope with R/G and UTG 4x40 Full Size Mil-Dot RGB Zero Resetting Scope. So maybe I should rather go down for a 4*40 one. Thanks a lot.
