| if you want a China L96 tho shoot 500FPS then yes it is worth it. i know its alot thats why i like gas or electric systems better.
you will notice alot more consistency with these upgrades too.
if you haven't already tried this i would try the Teflon mod and a Tight bore barrel. using these two you would probably get around 460-480FPS. its much cheaper and it will get you the added FPS that you want at $150 cheaper. the spring and added stuff is just the most direct route to getting higher FPS.
i can link you if you need it

| If you really need to get to 500 FPS, you better go ahead and order the zero trigger system as mentioned. Upgraded sears will most likely fail after prolonged use with a heavy spring (i.e. Laylax 170+). Personally I prefer spring over AEG snipers because of the simplicity. True, you wont have the rate of fire when needed... but if they get that close you didnt do your job anyways. Havent ever used a gas system, but since I play in cooler weather occasionally, it wouldnt work for me. Anyways, if you dont want to spend a lot of money: buy a tightbore barrel, do the teflon mod, get a good hop up bucking, and use high precision .28-.30 BB's like (KSC, Excel, etc...). You will get some nice results with this. However, as soon as you start putting stiffer springs in you will have some serious problems shortly after. Your sears will go real fast, then you have to worry about all the other internals as well. I guess in a nutshell if you want high FPS you will have to drop some money down... Zero trigger system, Laylax 170-190 spring, metal spring guide, laylax piston, and possibly a cylinder if you want the ultimate in performance. It gets pricey. | |

| If you put a heavy spring in the replica it will destroy your sears in probably 100 shots or less... so I would HIGHLY recommend not doing that. If you are wanting to do a heavy spring you will need the Zero Trigger system. | |
