| i have a d-boys SCAR and its been working great until about a month ago. one day it just stopped. the battery was charged, but when i pulled the trigger nothing happened. its been like that since. i've trying different batteries, different mags, everything. no sound what-so-ever but the slight click of the trigger. i have only done one major thing to my gun before it stopped, and that was because the pistol grip came loose. all i did was take the motor out and tighten the screws for the grip. i put it back exactly, and i even tried switching the wires. nothing works. so i finally worked up the courage to field strip it a little. i took the barrel off and 2-3 bb's fell out, but i don't think that it was jammed because it didnt make a difference. i don't know if the fuse blew but i can't find the fuse on my gun!! whats wrong? i haven't airsofted for ever!!! and last time i DID airsoft, i had to use a gbb the whole time. please help, you don't kmow how much this sucks. lol | |

| Gear box lock, very common problem, easy to fix but you need to open up the GB and that can cause problems for some people. And WHOAH Russ, a THOMPSON got a GB jam?! Thats hard to believe! | |

| Thats Dboys and scars in general for ya unfortenetly SCARs under 700 are trash E1 makes the best. Save for there hop up wich is trash as well. im sorry to break it to you Russ that you now apart of the large crowd of those who bought a Dboys anything and had it break. My recomendation sell on ebay or to a bone yard youll get some money back but its still better than nothing. | |

| If Dboys is so crappy than why is it that 3 other guns that are made by "reliable" companies have the exact same problem? | |

| Does anyone else agree with Satan? because from what I've heard, and from my use of the gun until now, I do not agree at all. | |

| @Russ,
Pull the motor, re connect the motor cables, hook the gun up to your battery, hang on to the motor, Fire the Gun, if the motor works you have GB Jam. If the motor dosnt work you could have an issue with the Switch assembly, Cable Short, bad battery connection.
Satans comment is his opinion, and I totaly Disagree, I was just wondering, What Scar costs more than 700$ ( Real Steel doesn´t count ).

| Indeed slob its an opinion and yes $700 could be called a hyberbole. But unless you pour money into a SCAR to get her workin just right its gonna suck. Around my area the worst imatators at real airsoft are Dboys CYMA and Aftermath and some company i don't know thier name cause i can't read mandarin. Any Dboys gun ive encountered has broken merely months fom purchasesame goes for the rest mentioned. E1's SCAR is ok except for hop up fix it and you have a wonderful SCAR. | |

| Then answer me this,
Why is it that when comparison tests are done on the current SCAR models on the Market, the D-Boys is always included, and actually hold it´s own against some of the better known Brands.
As a lower cost version of the SCAR, the D-Boys delivers a gun that is not going to break the Bank, and when taken care of properly it delivers reliable performance.
Funny, 2 posts above your first post, a member here had to send his E-1 in for repairs, and it wasn´t on the hop up.

| @ Russ,
It may not cost you anything, you need to pull the box, open it up and see what is causing the problem, chances are the Piston is worn out.
