| Well we were playing on MY private land couple days ago. My support gunner asked if he could bring one of his friends to play airsoft. Ok i said immediately but he's on the other squad. Well he shows up with homemade airsoft grenades. It's a firework mortar covered in 200+ aftermath bb's. In a ziploc bag covered with duct tape only exposing the wick. I took and threw it away for 3 reasons: 1. High explosive 2. I sure as heck don't want a fire on my land(dense vegetation and with this heat it is very dry!) 3. The last thing i want is the fire departant or something. But my question is the kid wants to play with us more and i'am thinking no but i want a second-hand opinion. | |

| First off coulden't agree more with what you did that was a very smart move to throw it away. Next I think you should let him play with you guys. I don't know about you but around where im from airsoft players are kind of hard to come by. If your going to allow him to play with you guys just lay down a set of base rules.
1. NO HOME MADE GRENADES
and what ever else you can think of.

| I Agree with storm, He should be happy that all you did was take it away, I know some people that would have shoved him into a closet, lit his grenade , tossed it in after him and held the door shut . A fire would have been the least of my worries, somebody getting severely injured would have been on the top of my list. | |

| I Agree Warrior, But coupling BB´s with the Fireworks, the players would now bring fragmentation into the game, splintered BB´s could and probably will enter the skin, if the Homemade Grenade would have landed near an opposing player, at the moment of detonation the fragments are moving at the speed of sound, a bit higher than any AEG on the field. - Quote :

The power of the fireworks definitely poses danger, all I was saying was that with the BB´s added to it, the danger is largely increased. Again I applaud the way you handled it, and like STORM stated if you are going to allow him to Join or Play with your team, Clear Rules have to be spelled out.

| Like said, make it clear in no uncertain terms: Explosives = NO-NO. Its hard to come across decent airsofters, and if ya don't have any other reasons not to keep the guy around, might as well let him play. | |

| first rule of airsoft nades, NEVER HOME MADE and NEVER real explosive, including fireworks. The only thing fire works are allowed to be used in on my land is specific firework brand smoke gernades and other more profesional brands. | |

| i see it like this: play with fire, and you're gonna get burned. drive hammered, and you're gonna get nailed. play with HE, and you're gonna end with extensive shrapnel wounds and possibly death. it's not worth it. | |

| smoke grenades are cool, for dense forestation as long as the burning temp is really low it would keep it from heating up much and burning down the forest. | |
