ghillie?

whats better a ghillie suit or a ghillie poncho? and what site can i get it at for a reasonible price?

i like ghillie suits better. This would be a good place to get either one. http://www.theghilliesuits.com/ponchos.html i personally think that they are cheaper than other sites but are still of high quality. Check it out.

i perfer making bdu's into ghillies

Well it depends if you move around and walk alot a poncho would be better, if you stay still more and crawl alot a ghillie suit would be best.
I highly recommend making your own. You can match it to your environment better and cheaper than buying one(the last ghillie suit I made cost me $52.34)

I second jarhead however i allways reccomend a full ghillie and for light stuff just a head and soulders or head veil.

(btw look at most responders avatars lol some good info here)

during the summer/spring/fall i use a full ghillie. during winter i wear a head/shoulders/torso and under that i wear a white painting suit. and i wrap my rifle in a towel with torn edges to give it a soft look.


here is what i would do

-get some OD or black fishnet

-cut it to the same size of the BACK (just back so you can crawl) of your BDU's

-tie jute onto it for the area to were you play. like a woodland or desert

The suit is better in my oppion but i only cover my backside and around my arms and leggs there isn't anywhere cheap they all run for 100 i would consider taking the time and paying half that to make your own then you can coustomize it to your natural area
