mainly no, they're beginning a transition to the M4, i believe. they use a combination of the M4 rifles and M16A2, A3, and A4 rifles. | |

| Too add too Jarheads info.
-The USMC actually uses all Coyote Brown gear. Early in the war they used Coyote Tan/MJK, CB and a mix of the old M81 Woodland Interceptors, it depended on what unit it was.
-IOTV replica's in CB will be fine too fill in for the MTV. Or you could always get a generic Interceptor style vest.
-Bates USMC boots on Ebay go for really cheap. Its what they use and you can pick up a pair for as low as $25....
-They do not issue M16a2 rifles anymore, these are only used for training. Look for M16a3's or a4's. The a2 has a fixed carry handle...
-Aimpoint comp 68's were issued too specalized units. If not that then an ACOG replica would be your best bet. Their Recon, Force Recon, and MARSOC units get issued EoTech's now. I beleive they use the 552's and 553's.
Thats all for a basic grunt kit, if you want a MARSOC kit I have a kitlist that you could use. I am putting a MARSOC kit together right now. If you look in the Savageseas pic thread you can see how far I have gotten. I still have too grab a helmet(MICH 2000), arid MARPAT, M4, few pouches, and an ACOG. Then I should be done....

| my cousin is a recruiter with four combat tours (Fallujah) and tour in Korea. he said the IBA is pretty good, except it can get caught up on things. he said getting out of the IFVs was a pain because they would rip a lot of the MOLLE PALS. just throwing that out. | |
