so here's the gist of what happened.
Objectives: Satelite dish defense. satelite dish destruction (enemies)
confinscation of drugs. destruction of drug lab
We the O.D.D. team (desert) were against the E.V.E.N. team (woodland), also included were Insurgents and Contractors, who were neutral, but we could win their favor and so on.
so in the beginning we marched out to our F.O.B. (forward operating base) there we organized our squads and so on. i was part of a Recon team. it was actually really cool and a lot of fun.
The game started after about 10 minutes of organizing and so on. My recon team and i headed out all by our lonesome (just 5 of use, but the feeling was awesome) we had no contacts but straight from the start of the game our main forces were engaged by contractors and E.V.E.N. we tried to help out. my squad leader who had a DMR tried to hit the enemy, but we were at least 200 yds. out so it was hopeless. so we broke off and continued to go along our route.
Eventually our forces broke through the E.V.E.N. and contractor forces and tried to negotiate with the terrorists who demanded "pickles" so one of the main force squad leaders who was there was a total tard (he was in charge of the pickles) left his squad all a lone to get the pickles.
While on our route the leaderless squad started to trail my squad, so i thought we were being followed by the enemy. so we set up an ambush. We almost lit them up, but we saw they were on our team. so we let them join us for a bit. But there really WAS an enemy trailing us. a large force of E.V.E.N. members was trailing us. (about 10-15 maybe more)
we told the leaderless squad to fall back and our recon squad would set up and ambush (our recon squad was now 4, as one of them suddenly felt very sick)
we had great cover. we took out maybe out 7-9 of them. i hid in a small "C" shaped tree grove and shot one guy that walked past my position i heard him say "wtf?" haha
we lost about 2 members in that engagement. so i fell back (i booked it like crazy, and tripped but still made it)
we then hooked up once again with the leaderless squad who was in charge of an objective. we started to follow them, but i got sidetracked a little bit, and then when i went to catch up with them. a large force of E.V.E.N. was between me and them. i stupidly engaged them (if i didnt engage them they probably would have never seen me
) they hit me out. i was walking back to my F.O.B. (our F.O.B. was like a mile away..... literally) and was about to regen when a medic got me back in. i hooked up with their squad ( i had no idea what happened to my recon squad) we started down the same way that i had just come up. the E.V.E.N. forces had apparently fallen back. although one of their snipers tried to engage us but was too far, so all for naught.
the squad i was with split up. the half i was with was going to go hunt E.V.E.N. flankers.
luckily there was noone and we met up again with our other half.
We moved through a ditch cautiously. noone had engaged us so far. so it was pretty clear. i split off from the squad (they moved way too slow and weren't focused on objectives) so me and this other guy went off leapfrogging and so one. we met another man. soon after we were engaged from behind. ( we didnt see them, luckily no hits) we fired back, but no more retaliation came. so we assumed they had retreated.
soon after i met up with a huge amount of O.D.D. members. we started a huge rush. it was the best part of the game ( we had negotiated with the insurgents and contractors so they were our "teammates") we were stuck in a tree line, then we just charged and took out almost all opposition this was the absolute best part! but then we were betrayed by the insurgents and contractors, who shot at our backs..... (jerks)
so our epic charge was all for naught. bummer
another engagement in that area was us about 20 guys again two snipers. (they were destroying us.) so about 5 guys including me rushed them, about 3 were hit. i hit one of the snipers out and the other guy hit the other one out.
after that. most of the game continued around that area, many engagements and casualties etc.
near the end, me and aoubt 6 other guys took a MOUT town. soon our 6 grew to about 22 men, we had a sizable force, but the problem was everyone was too comfortable. i noticed E.V.E.N. forces starting to move up on the MOUT town. there was just 3 of them, but soon we were surrounded by about 40 E.V.E.N. members. had i not spotted them we probably could never have defended ourselves. but eventually even "killed" us all and took the town, and moved on
soon after a medic came along (contractor medic) and regened us all. we engaged the E.V.E.N. forces that had just wiped us out. i took out about 5 with one burst (it was awesome)
but eventually they just pushed and they overwhelmed us yet again. and that was basically the end of the game.
E.V.E.N. did a good job of team work, communication and so on, so they were very effective. they stuck to their objectives
while O.D.D. was full of kids, team work was poor and communication was next to nothing. poor decisions were made. focus on the objectives was next to nothing as well.
Overall i had a lot of fun. hope you all enjoyed this
