| OK so this is a story from an OP I went to back in December and am just now posting.
It was me, with my L96, and a random kid who i found wandering around deep in enemy territory (He was about 12 years old with a KWA M16 with a lipo and box mag. He had read his map wrong, dropped his two-way, and got seperated from his squad.) Anyways, i had him set up on the oppisite side of a road from me, i was on the right he was on the left. I had hidden myself down in a drainage ditch, with him in a elevated position. I had originally planned on camping and waiting for the General of the Opfor to walk by, i had recieved intel from my C.O. in the OP that he would come down my way. So after about 30 minutes of waiting, my radio goes beserk with reports saying that a large number of the opposing team was coming my way. At this point the kid i found was whining about finding somebody to shoot. Eventually my General contacts me on a private line and tells me to not freak out, but there is a force of about 60 heading my way, straight down the road.
(I'm putting a break here, its easier on your eyes)
I had 2 packs of simulated C4 with me.( It was burlap sack about 6inches by 6 inches, and if it landed within 30 feet you were dead) I was amazed to see that the Opfor were marching in formation, and couldnt believe my good luck. After instructing the kid with the KWA to move about 100 yards up the road and to start shooting when he sees my C4 fly up, i set myself on a ledge about 50 feet uphill off the road. I let about half of the force pass me, and then threw my C4 in the midst of them, one pack to the left and one pack to the right. From there it was mass chaos.
The kid with the KWA took out almost all of the remaining Opfor, with the rest scrambiling off of the road and into the brush. I managed to shoot the Opfor's General, and then my reinforcements arrived (thank don't Use the Lord's name in vain). We decimated them, sending them all back to respawn and giving the rest of my team enough time to take a defensive position on a 2 story fort.
Hope you guys enjoyed it, it's hard to portray the way it went down in words.

| It was such an adrenalin rush at the time. I'm glad i had my two-way or i would never have known what was coming my way. | |

| Yeah I could imagine what kind of pain you would have been in if you didn't have that. 60 guys all shooting at you at the same time. | |

They prolly didn't expect a two man element to jump out of the brush and eliminate them all, haha

| I personally am i HUGE advocate of small teams and guerilla warfare tactics...so much easier when you have the element of surprise. Of course, have the ability to call in a 50 man reinforcment detachment is always usful | |

| To me, it depends on the situation. Guerilla Tactics tend to take a lot of time in open environments, which is fine, except when you don't have a whole lotta time to spend. For field and depending on the amount of people, I'd prolly just use fireteam-, squad-, and platoon-based tactics. | |

| I have actually based my whole teams M.O. on Guerilla tactics. Thats not to say we do not use conventional warfare tactics, but we are proficent in Guerilla warfare. Firecracker string charges as a distraction with a firing squad equipped with 120 round grenades hidden alongside? Im there.
@Mercc, i don't play at a field too much except for OPs, they shut the nearest one down. I play in a Bog/woods area with a river as one border. And i don't mean stream, i mean a river lol.

| No, I hear ya, I love guerilla tactics. You can take a four-element force and turn it into the OPFOR from He1l. I use guerilla tactics at my CQB field a lot | |

| Gorilla tactics - Acting like an ape to confuse the OpFor, subsequently drawing an Uzi and shooting. I'm not too much a fan of the modern tactics, like the method of breaching/entering a room. The good ol' jungle warfare is where it's at | |

| haha Drummer thanks for the laugh, and i'm not a fan of modern tactics either. For me, there is nothing too low or dirty as long as i get the kill. i don't mean nut shots, i mean distractions or putting the enemy into a State of Fear to throw them off balance. If you are not on my team, i am probably a throughly unpleasant person to be against. | |

| @Drummer I love that method. It's the only method I use, haha
@Insane Hey, it's all about adapting, right?
@Undertaker I use a lot of fear tactics, as well! High five!!

| Historically the classic Guerilla style tactics have the best track record especially in smaller size engagements. | |

| I agree with you Drummer, you made me laugh also. I just love the feel of the jungle tactics to me it seems like the ultimate stealth area. | |

| For me, stealth is where its at. Thats why i chose to be a sniper. I love the feeling you get after getting that perfect shot, and i feel that it pits me against mother nature as well as the Opfor. Nothing compares to setting up in the perfect spot and nailing a guy in the chest from 200 feet away, especially when that guy was boasting how zawesome he is lol. | |
