A OP: where there is a black-hawk that I'm sitting in the side of, then after we get hit with and RPG, go down, hold out, then get extracted by humvees, and I have to sit in the back wit my trusty M4, holding them off as we drive away. Basically Black Hawk Down!

Well... What i would have is a 3 day Invasion. It would take place on a 60 acre plot of land. 1000 people per team and it would stretch from a beach invasion for the first day, then a country side invasion the second day then on the last day it would go into a urban city environment. Like OP: Irene. It would start at 10:00 AM and end at 7:00 PM (It would be during summer time so it would get dark around 7:00PM). It would be 4 hours attacking 4 hours defending and an out in the middle to rearm and resupply. It wouldn't be a 1 shot 1 kill game, it would be like a respond game. Like if u were hit u had to fall back 300 yards to a respond point then you were drenched back into the game.
What do you guys think?

M14, let us make an op! Lets wright it and send it to a coordinator... I dunno, I'm probably going to end up writing one soon, so I would like help. I don't even want any credit, I just want to give it to a "coordinator" so I can play...

...at that point, I'd say just enlist
Anyway...I'm planning on going to OP: Lion Claws in a couple years (once I get my loadouts/projects completed). Just don't have that kind of money right now, though.
So ya, that'd have to be my dream one...right up there next to OP: Irene. Wouldn't mind skirming with Scoutthedoggie.

black hawk down scenarios are very fun, i think a good game would be like one of the major operations in iraq and afghanistan, the sweep and clear missions, so basically there is this gigantic MOUT town, not small, huge! A force of about 100 marines (a company) is sweeping the city looking for terrorists. but they can't just go around shooting everyone. there are rules of engagement, and so on, for example a "marine" walks into a local hut, there is a woman sitting in a chair reading a book, he turns to observe everything else to see if there is anyone else inside, he turns and faces the woman again who has a M9 pointed towards his chest. rule of engagement, take that b*tch out. of course no smart military force does room entries all by themselves, but basically everything would just like the "real" thing, not going rambo on the other team, because we aren't even really sure who the other team are. also their could be zip ties and arrests made, informants giving out information on supposed "terrorist locations" etc. i think this would be an extremely fun and different game, of course though i think this would be a very confusing game and it would be very difficult to watch everyone and make they aren't as said before going "rambo" of course their could be implied UN sanctions if that were to happen.
what do you think? haha

I think thats how all good OP's should be. Been to too many skirmishes that labelled themselves as mil-sim, but still played the rambo game. Thats honorable airsoft and I respect it, but some people get more a thrill out of realism than running up on someone and unloading twin miniguns They're two different sports, in my opinion. Well, rambo airsoft is a sport...I'd say mil-sim is, well, a simulation...and first and foremost, a hobby. You've gotta be a different kind of person to take part in em.
Working with some of the local fields right now to try and organize something...but I don't know how well its working out. Unfortunately, we don't have access to MOUT "villages" yet...working on it, though. Camp Pendleton has 2 of them...visited one when I was on my press tour. The officer that was bringing me around said they've rented them out to private parties before, mostly private security groups. Don't know what the likelihood of actually getting those spots for mil-sim airsoft use. Probably nil.

I don't think I would enjoy being in the dirt for a month, sleeping with my eye protection on and one eye open to watch out for OpFor at night. I think 3 days is the maximum I'd want continuously.
It would be woodland and urban, where Russia has invaded one of their former satellites, with plans for a full-scale invasion of Europe and the U.S. has decided to strike before that happens. It would take place in a large, wooded area with dirt roads and a few small villages along the road. Each village would have its own civilian role-players, each of whom would have a disposition toward either the Russian team or the American team. A few of them might even become involved by stealing rations or rendering a vehicle inoperable for a short period of time.
There would be objectives and engagements around the clock, and 2 different shifts. The American night shift would be required to have some form of night-vision or infrared. It would be optional for the Russian night shift.
If you're hit, you'd need attention from a designated medic within 2 minutes. If not, you need to make your way to the main building of the nearest town your team holds and respawn 5 minutes after arriving there. Everyone would be required to sleep and eat with eye protection on (no full masks). You're always in play unless you're returning to respawn. Same respawn rules apply whether you're fighting, eating, dropping a deuce, sleeping (hopefully they'd notice you were asleep and call a safety kill or tap you out). Everyone would constantly need to keep their guard up.
For the first day, only the Russians would have vehicles. The American team would need to take out SAM and AA sites to allow for air support. After simulated aerial support on the part of the Americans, their vehicles could move in without fear of Russian tanks (which would have been waiting conveniently just outside the game boundaries). If the Americans can't take out the SAM and AA sites, they'll be unable to use vehicles.
There would need to be one or two large objectives like that for each team each day that something major rides on (like the use of vehicles), and several smaller objectives for each team that could confer smaller bonuses (like smoke grenades or extra ammo).
The Russian team's goal would be to push forward toward Europe, and the American team's goal would be to push them back. Whichever team held the most villages by the end of the third day would be declared the winner.
That, I think, would be pretty awesome.

Oh wow ya...that's a bit ridiculous. A weekend is enough for me, thankyouverymuch Most of the local small-OP's are one day on, then you go home for the night or camp out, then you resume play the following morning.

Hmm...I like, I like (the idea). I'd go for that one.
IMHO, if you do go through with an event like that...make an age limit. Too many events around here are ruined by the 11 year old daysofters with Wallyworld replicas.

I'd love to have a sort of Operation Desert Storm OP, except with all the armor, arty, and air and waaaay more contact. Another theme would be taking Objective Rhino, which was a small airstrip in Afghanistan right before the main invasion. A special forces team went in and took the airstrip and then a Marine company took over. Those would both work really well in my environment.
Oh... My.... Don't use the Lord's name in vain..... an OP at White Sands Missile Range.....

well, I'm saying that in Operation Desert Storm, there wasn't a whole lot of combat. I mean, yeah, there was some combat, but not widescale; most Iraqi units pulled a Frenchie the second they saw the Americans. I guess the whole point I'm trying to make here is, lots of armor, arty, and air, and lots of "combat".
And about the White Sands Missile Range, there are areas that are clear that civies can go to, I'm not talking about running around where they actually test ordinance.

Hmm... Dream game... Probably just enlisting and doing the real thing. But that's not really a game now is it?
I'd like to go to something along the lines of a tour in Iraq/Afghanistan where everyone has exact military gear and uniforms, all with M4s or M16s and then 4x ACOGs or AimPoints or EO Techs, some with M203s, some guys with SAWs, etc etc. The Insurgency would have none other than the good old Automatic Kalashnikov rifle... maybe a complimentary RPG or IED
It would be played in a barren dessert. Lasting a few days probably, I'd say maybe 200 people in the US Army (playing various parts; Rangers, Green Berets, infantry, etc. with Humvees), 150 Marines (also a variety; tanks, artillery, etc), 20 contractors (they would be provided with technicals), whoever wanted to be European, and then 100 or so Insurgents who would drive old Nissan pickups

If I had enough money and the land to do this it would be a WEEK of on and off skirmishes and defensive attacks on a "Territory" held by PMCs and UN/Russian army.
It would start with a large scale invasion of the "Territory" by the Americans(they are the bad guys this time) and they would be supported by Strikers,APCs,Hueys,Black Hawks, and Little Birds.
The first objectives would include capturing and holding Bridges,AA,SAM,and border crossings. Each of these would be attacked by both Special Forces and regular troops(army, marines, etc). Each of the objectives would be needed to be captured and held for atleast 3 hours by the Americans before the UN forces would be forced to retreat to the next line of defense.
The UN forces can Counter attack or dig in at their descreation. The Americans must capture the Oil stations in the center of the 15 square mile "Territory" by the end of the week. Once the Americans are are within 2 miles of the Oil station they can't use vehicles at all and the UN forces get to use the vehicles.
The amount of people must be atleast 1000+. The Americans can only have 800 people(thats split between army, Marines, SF and techincals drivers. The UN/PMC/Russian units can excede 200-350. The attacking units will have to secure also 6 villages/towns and a few bridges and caches as secondary objectives.

Wait...what do you mean "supported by strikers, APCs, hueys, black hawks, and little birds"? Simulated vehicles, or actual strikers/blackhawks/etc...lol.
Theres a reason that in all those OP's with heli's, the birds are the little Robinson R22's and budgetcopters

Exactly....thats why its a dream idea....Maybe just little birds for my OP then and only use them for SF or Delta Force operations. And yes REAL strikers and those square M113A3's. Also...the PMC units would all be Black Water operators or MDC units.
