| I understand how many men constitute a US Army FAMT, fireteam, squad, company, etc, but I'm really vague on the USAF. My numerous Google searches have yielded these:
Section - 2? Flight - 4 Squadron - 12 Group Wing
How many aircraft (usually) are in one of these, and are VFA's (yeah, yeah, naval aviation not USAF) squadrons or groups? Thanks.

| I could be wrong but i believe a flight is usually 4 planes and a squadron is 3 flights so 12 planes in all. As for group and wing elements i can't remember off the top of my head. | |
