| Thought about it...
And I put a amount of deep thought over this, but my expertise lie in robotics. Now i may be going to a college known for ROTC, North Georgia.

| I've been told by several different vets that in most cases upperbody workouts can be more important than running. They also said that I needed to master the pushup and the situp to even pass the first few days of anadvanced training(airborne, sniper, ranger, special forces, combat engineering etc etc).
One of the guys at my brothers work recomended a physical training book called "strength training anatomy" the author is frederic delavier. It's a great book. Basically it shows all the workouts that you can do with weights, what muscles to exercise, and what to watch out for injurie wise. The book is fanamonal as is the guy who recomended it(he did 6 years as a Marine officer, he graduated from their version of ROTC that was during the summer, he is also pursueing his 4th backbelt in a martial arts[I forget the name but it's not karate or tai quan doe] and he has the equiviland to a PHD in eastern medicine) basically he knows what he is talking about.
Two really good basic exercises to do are 1: take two cambods soups cans and hold them out straight, right behind you sholders, then start rotating your arms in a circular motion(like when you stretch your arms during different sports). Do this for 3 minutes, for the first minute rotate foreward, for the second rotate backwards, and for the last hold your arms straight out. Soon 4oz feels like 40lbs. The above exercise works your deltoids(the muscles on you sholders), if you lift weights on a bench you need to work your deltoids in some manner because they are the muscles that hold your arms up(for the most part).
Ok health lesson is over

| I am hoping to start out as a Ranger, then as I get older head to flight school, then end up in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Division (SOAR(A)) That has been the dream since I can remember....ending up in the 160th. But SSHHHHH my parents don't know this! lol Im not going to tell them until after I join up.....Its not easy keeping it a secret when they talk about college and Im going to join up as soon as I'm 18. | |

| SOAR would be really cool. At op:sf1 there was a guy that served with SOARfor quite awile I think(ghostlead to be specific). He said that he served as a door gunner in nam and other AO's. He was crazy good at fighting in the thick woods that we played in. Ranger or SF has been my dream since ive known about it. I used to want the whole navy seal thing(who hasent), because I really liked swimming. But then I heard how only 10% of seals are stationed in holstile zones.... I don't wanna receive some really good training and then just walk around my home town showing off, I want to use my training. So I looked into the army and the marines(I didn't know about AF special ops till about 6 months ago). I found out about force recon but I also found a bunch of obituaries. So I looked into the army a little more and found out about the Rangers, SOAR, 10th mountain(they are more elite than SF, but their training regiment is run mostly by rangers, they are kinda like the army's test platform too.) and SOAR. I really liked the green berets but I knew the chances of me making it inky physical condition was pretty much zero. So I started running and doing some other stuff. Then I noticed that I would probably actually like the rangers better than normal green berets(I really enjoy doing recon work).
Yeh ok that was my last post in this thread

| Yo some good stuff but I see both of you guys are talking about the army with ranger school and all the spec ops stuff which is really cool i was looking into all of that stuff but with the army and the navy dosnt mean you will get the job you want that why i already join the Core and already have my job. Also with any of the spec ops stuff you can't sign up for it in any branch instead you need to be asked to do it, so be careful with what ever branch you join that you will get that job with no b.s. going on. But some crazy stuff and yea M14 DOUBLE TAP i would talk to your parents about it and just be like im going to do this and see what they say because once you turn 18 it is up to you and only you so its better to give them a warning if you know what i mean | |

MY uncle suggested the army for me the other day and my parents yelled at him and was like Kurt, don't even think about it. Every time I even say the word Army, I get a long speech from one of them about how I shouldnt join-so I'm just going to keep it a secret....I really don't have a choice. And Im not entirely sur I get what your saying? "When I'm 18 It's me and only me"? please explain.

| He said "its up to you and you only." Meaning once you turn 18 your independant and your parents can't make decisions for you or tell you that you can't join the Army. | |

| Oh, yes I know that. But my parents can act pretty harsh, If they figured out I was joining up, They would take all of my airsoft guns ALL 19, all my war movies, ALL LIKE 20, and all my war videogames. Anything that has to do with the Force would be gone to me. Oh, and all 500 of my war books. (Exxagerration on the books, but I do have ALOT of war books.) But most of my older cousins know, and they are keeping the secret. My older sister also knows. they all said they would help me out in any way possible. all three of them are old enough to drive.....any idea on how they could help me out?? | |

| Your parents deserve some thanks for what they do and if they are anything like mine , a simple thank you for putting up with you will warm their hearts . Call me a Mama's boy but the first thing I would do once my check clears is buy my Mama something and of course get my Daddy something nice too . You know just to say thanks . | |
