| Hey guys, I recently purchased this http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_68_518&products_id=31564and was wondering, because I wanted to keep a small type battery and still run this gun effectively. I also purchased the matrix magnum motor. I have an Intellect 1600 mah 9.6v nunchuck style battery for my Crane Stock. Does anyone know how to modify an m4/16 to shoot in single shot only? To conserve battery life? Or should I just keep it how it is and leave my fire selector switch in *single* shot only position This gun will be shooting 500+ fps with an m160 spring in it. | |

| just keep it one semi auto, otherwise when you can get/ they create a better battery then you have a single shot m4/16 with no way to go full auto | |

| Actually single shot is beside the fact of saving power. Regardless, it will have to pull the spring. Fully automatic function carries over the momentum and gives your motor the mechanical advantage over the spring. i.e. more efficency.
Small type connectors do not conserve energy either. Tamiya connectors create a lot of resistance in the circuit. If you really want a connector type that will save battery life. Gold plated deans plugs.
Lastly I would run a battery that mechbox was intended for. LiPo batteries. A 9.6v NiMh just isn't going to have the same stamina with a M160 set up MEANT for LiPo use.

| To convert the gun to Single Shot only, you need to cut the opening for the cut-off lever on your selector plate, on the left side of the opening you enlarge the window by 1/8 inch.
My question, `` Why ??? ยดยด, as stated above, leave it on Semi, problem solved.

| I think the reason is so that he can pump the gun's FPS up. Many fields will allow increased FPS on a gun if it is only semi-auto capable.
Like in CA, its normally 400 for AEG's...500 for bolt action...and 450 for semi-only DMR's.

Lipo's come in cell packet's and they are decently smaller/lighter than your run of the mill NiMh. Unless you have the correct set up, it will not be a efficient use though. As for the suggestions. leave it on semi, problem solved. Why fix something that doesn't need to be fixed?

| Well Lone Wolf, I just purchased that m160 gearbox, and a matrix magnum motor, would that be a correct enough set up to use a Lipo for? | |

I apologize I forgot you had also installed a aftermarket complete set up. Yes it is preferable to use a LiPo then.

| What lipo do you know of would work with an Echo1 crane stock? I believe that is the kind i have, i definitely know i do not have the CA crane stock... I can't seem to find any crane lipos, but do you think that I should get a full stock and get a lipo with a large mah? So the cells charge does not drop as quickly? | |
