| Hey guys, I finally got my gearbox pieced back together an in working condition, ( the old one ) new one has not come yet. And when I try to install the motor, all I get is grinding noises. I know it is not my gearbox because I have manually held the motor in the box against the gears and have successfully shot my gun. But when I try to put the pistol grip on it either gets very whiny or does not move the gears at all. Anyone want to help? | |

| Have you tried lowering the motor height? | |

| yeah but if it goes too low then it just spins inside the grip, any higher and it starts to screech on the gears, any higher and it stops moving | |

| you may be right noneed2hate... That could be a reason seeing as the anti reversal latch is there... I'll have to check that out in a few hours though because currently my pistol grips wiring is "Watch your language" up.... And Im sure its that XD (wiring in the grip) because a direct attachment results in a big spark and the motor running crazily hah.. I'll keep you guys updated. | |

| i forgot exactly how its placed. but usually on the motor, there is a red dot somewhere. and that red dot is supposed to be nearest to the front end of the replica. so if you have the pistol grip. you put the side with the red dot towards the trigger. this is a good site to check out for repairs etc http://www.mechbox.com/their videos helped me when i was having problems figuring out my motor | |

| if it is your first time certainly check to make sure the latch is properly in place and the timing of the sector gear on the piston. The grinding noises could be piston teeth being chewed away. At this point I would open it up again and check for damage.
If you know for certain the grinding is coming from the motor's pinion gear, adjust the height and make sure the spring/base shim are in place. | |

| If you have the Motor correctly Poled, Height adjustment is where it should be, sounds more like a motor missalighnment, one of the many kiddie sicknesses of a V2 GB, Make sure your cables are running inside the channels of the grip and snug against the side of the motor, the base plate alone will not set the motor straight. | |
