| I know we've already had threads about war books, but I've been interested in reading some about WW2 (especially after watching some of Band of Brothers), specifically based in Europe. Thanks | |

| A great book if you want a first hand account (with reflections on the situation) would be to read Rommels "Infantry Attacks" or "Attacks"...one of them is shorterned I have both so just check. | |

That was great, albeit fiction. Another WWI is "The Greatest Day In History" by Nicholas Best. It's all about 11/11/18. But, most WWII books I've read were very good, so I'll see what I can find. Ike - Michael Korda (it's about Eisenhower, but deals a lot with WWII and D-Day) | |

| Okay this isn't WWII but Point of Impact is like the greatest book ever. They even made a movie out of it, and the movie still isn't that bad. If you can, read it. | |

| I agree, the Bob Lee Swagger series are perhaps the best books I have read. | |
