Im looking for cheaper alternatives to the EOTech replica before my the Villas Revenge op as I don\'t think I could get the cash together and get it in time. So basically, is this NC-star sight worth 50 bucks?

Not if it's the same as this one. My friend has one of these if I'm not mistaken, and he likes it very much. I even got to use it once and I'd say it's worth $50 if you'd be willing to go tubeless. It's all about personal preference.

Coincidentally, my same friend has that one as well. He likes it, but I haven't had much experience with it myself. Looks cool though. I can't speak either way for the NC Star one, but I'd say either of the two that my friend has would be worth it. Bear in mind, I've only seen it while it was functioning well. I don't own any of the scopes linked, so I don't know about any kinks or quirks that an owner would know about.

I recomend you go with a 2x zoom no matter what scope you buy. Your going to upgrade I assume maybe a little hard to get used to at first but you'll thank me later when you can see the bb hit the guy at 100 ft away.
