| That isn't true at all. Tokyo marui is one of the most reliable airsoft gun manufacturers out there, and takes pride in their amazing products. They are plastic, because in japan, they cannot have metal guns for legality reasons. For many people, a plastic slide is better, as it is lightweight and faster around corners. | |

| Tokyo marui plastic doesn't break easily. it's very durable. Get your facts straight before you start trashing a company. | |

| They also don't dent like metal would.
EDIT: Umm...you wouldn't know my G4 was plastic until you picked it up. Looking "cooler" is not a factor.

| metal doesn't necessarily mean better. think of factors such as weight etc. what tactical advantage does a metal body give you over plastic? none. Simply metal, plastic, it really makes no difference.
As for the original post, I would recommend getting something that will last a little longer, like a nice CM AK or a JG mp5. something along those lines.

What other manufacturers make plastic series AEGs? Classic Army, JG, TM, and G&G. For the most part, the materials are all the same from company to company...cheap all around! Only difference is plastic will flex under pressure, it doesn't dent, is harder to scratch, is lighter...
