| Bleh I need help with a project. Ok so me and a friend are doing something which involves a rope (With a person on it) being pulled up a guide line that is inclined on about 45 degrees up to a tree by a counter-weight. But we need help figuring out how to get the counter weight back up to the "Reset" position at the top without the weight on the other end on it with minimal, if not done automaticly, effort. I will explain with symbles: P= Person W= Weight | or \ = Rope .= Filler XD Figure 1 |\ | \ W \ . . .\ . . . P Figure 2 |\ | \ | P | W
As you can see, its quite easy to get from Figure 1 to figure 2, but let me show you figure 3
Figure 3 |\ | \ | N (← N= Nothing which means no weight) | W
So basically, the question is how to get Figure 3 back to Figure 1 without a Person on the end and with minimal effort | |

| The person would have to come back to the ground wouldnt he? Unless you have something the person is going to stand on, and when the person comes back down have some grounded weights that could hook to the rope maybe? | |

| Ya Ive got this figured out now. Its all about weight differentials. Gonna use 20 pound bags of sand to change the weight on each side to ajust the position. | |
