| Hello forum, I was wondering if I should or shouldn't get a Matrix Full Metal M9 Gas Blowback pistol. Right now, I am going for a sniper loadout with my UTG L96 sniper. I will probably be buying a tactical vest, gloves and possibly knee pads with this pistol. Please comment on my choice of a pistol, thanks. | |

| With a loadout like that, your definately going to want a sidearm. I couldnt tell you about the model your getting (I have no experience with Gas Pistol Replicas), but ask around the forum and you can probably get some good replicas. | |

| Could you post a link to said Handgun? Matrix to my knowledge is a lower-level company. | |

| It may be suitable for a beginner, however in my experience if you're buying anything Gas, you don't want to go cheap; Gas replicas aren't as fixable or forgiving as AEGs are. Too many things can go wrong. | |

| What have you been smoking? 1911's are what Don't use the Lord's name in vain. and The Punisher use to get the job done, it's a mans gun not a sissified M9. M9's only work if you're a Saint i'm afraid.
Anyway it's an Evike branded gun and it's being sold by Evike, red flags right there. I'd recommend something from KJW or WE or if you feel like it a KWA so you can get the NS2 system. WE's are about as cheap as i'd go for a GBB pistol.

ILFT, how much did you pay for that can of WINSAUCE because it looked delish. Not all 1911's have wood grips, mind you...but those are the best looking ones, IMHO. 1911's truely are a man's toy. "In the words of Sidney Phillips, U.S. Marine on Pavuuvu, 1944, "A .45 will stop a Jap quicker than a whole magazine from your Carbine...take their whole arm off."

| I am probably not going to use a 1911 since I'm going to be playing as a current U.S. sniper. A current sniper probably doesn't use a 1911 since it is not standard issue anymore. I was looking at the KWA and KJW and I would probably go with KWA. Now I am trying to decide between 1911 and M9 since the M9 can be used for rapid fire since it shoots 9mm bullets realisticly. The 1911 shoots .45 cal bullets realisticly, so it's not as realistic on rapid fire. Also, you guys have said the 1911 fits perfectly in your hand, the problem is I have small hands, really small hands. This pistol is probably only going to be used as a backup weapon, unless if we just play around with pistols only for fun. I'm still sort of on a budget since I am getting a lot of other gear with it so I don't know if I can afford it, but I know I get why I pay for other than the WE Scar listed below this comment.

| To alexkmmll: The WE Scar was their newest Gas replica yet it failed in my eyes. I got the WE Scar CO2 version and I saw future problems in the gun and the stock was already broken when I received it. Luckily I got a full refund since I didn't shoot it yet, this was my first Gas blowback gun. I am happy since I have decided to stay a sniper instead of playing an assault role. | |

You can choose to carry a different sidearm if i remember correctly. From what i was told some guys are even getting rid of their M9's since the way the slide is designed they're easily fouled by sand. Don't quote me on that though.

| To DrummerBoyz95: You can tell by the quality of the gun by looking at the internals and exteranls. I looked at it and it seemed like something would fail. The stock was already broken one delivery so that was disappointing from all the good things I heard about WE. Also, a lot of people have been giving the WE Scar a lot of bad reviews.
To iliveforthis99: I'm sure that is possible, but I sort of like the iron sights on the M9 more and I don't know if the 1911 would be took big for my tiny hands.
Also, do you guys think I need knee pads for a sniper role. I have never used them before and never have seen the use of decreasing mobility for some pads.

| 1911's aren't big in the grip unless you get a new double stack mag style. Classic single stack style 1911's are really thin in the grip, thiner than an M9 if i remember right. | |
