| Prefferably under $40 and can hold an AK47 with a fixed stock length. | |

I didn't know their was a difference, well I guess a bag as long as they hide the gun and keep it clean from weather.

Case is usually a hard box thing, bag is a soft one (tehe). Worst case scenario: Music store guitar gig bag

If you were going to be doing alot of traveling, I'd get a hard case, cause you don't want your gun knocked around. for just carrying it and storing it, I'd get a bag. cheaper, lighter. plus I think a bag looks cooler.

Well, that also depends. If your traveling and you have a small car, don't get a Case. lol. Bags have plenty of protection.

| yeah, it doesn't really matter much what you get. unless reviews say otherwise, any bag or case will hold together and keep your gun in it. so really the only thing to do is pick one you like the look of. | |

| Hello. I was going to go with a Pellican, which is what I'd recommend if you want quality. It's what I use for my real steel. Extremely high quality, & price unfortunately. But they last forever & will generally be replaced free if you do manage to bugger it up somehow. However they don't fit your price range.
For my airsoft though I got Leapers DC Series Tactical Gun Case LP-GE-EDDADC-PVC-DC42B $36 From "Opticsplanet"
Here is the blurb from the company: "Tactical Gun Cases by Leapers are built tough, to handle all your needs. The waterproof shell is made from a durable 1680 or 1200 Denier PVC, allowing for super durability and water-resistance. Two inches of thick high-density foam pad the Tactical Cases and is designed for the maximum protection of your weapon, don't let bumps and scrapes happen any longer. Solid can't being to describe these Leaper Deluxe Gun Cases, reinforced double threading get you the extra durability you have been looking for. A tough nose, back support, & D-Ring make this Deluxe Gun Case by Leapers built for ease of use and longevity. When keeping your weapon in a Gun Storage Case safety must be accommodated for, Leapers Gun Cases sport a #10 super quality zipper with two heavy duty lockable zipper heads, which not only insures safety but also resists clogging, snagging, and gun scratching. This package would not be complete without a shoulder strap and carry handle. The reinforced 1.5 inch one-piece wrap around carry handle and a 1.5 inch adjustable shoulder strap is sewn to the case to ensure maximum comfort. Don't leave home without this Leapers Tactical Gun Case."
They are great, lots of padding, inexpensive, good quality, and they make them in varying lengths also, they also have 5 pockets on the side for mags(AR & AK fit) - you can jam 2 mags in each slot for a total of 10 Mags!

| Also, I forgot to mention that the case I mentioned above fits my real steel AK, so it should fit your Airsoft version. | |

| Good question gentry! Well... good price on the G&G GR-16 R4. Looks to be a nice gun, what battery & weight BB's are you running it it? Your going to put a suppressor on an AK? Hehe OK. Cool. Although I can tell you that you will rarely ever see a AK with a suppressor in real life. Heh. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen one... Suppressors do have a high cool factor though! BUT, I think none of this is on the topic that this post was about - "Need a good gun case". So, I'm done here Enjoy your new gear david! | |
