| Ill just add this in but I ware protective glasses with a skiing neck warmer that covers the bottom of the glasses then my cover touches the top of them. It works well i have been shot in the face and it does help a lot, the only way to make it better would be have sealed goggles and the neck warmer. | |

Im talking about the tints. there are some airsoft goggles that you can pick up for $8 that are either sun tinted (shades), or they have flourescent yellow (illumni). k?

| I would not reccomend going Cheap on the Eye protection, this is probably the one area of Airsoft where the money invested is more than worth it. A shot out tooth can be replaced, a shot out eye is another story.
When looking for new Glasses or Goggles, make sure that they have a Balistic Rating, most or them have a Mylar or Polygosamer protective film on the inside. Shooting glasses from Walmart are not correct Eye protection. Weather you are wearing full seal goggles, or balistic Glasses, eye protection is a must, I would rather spend the 60$ for really good gogles knowing that my eyes are safe, than go cheap and run the risk of eye damage.

| I value my sight more than I do many of my senses , now I am not saying I don't care about my other senses because I do , but I make sure my vision is protected before I do anything else . | |

| so do i, i wasn't reading the entire thread, i read the first half. so what i said was irrelevant. I agree that cheap eye ware is stupid.
another thing to bring up are the horror stories of the mesh masks.

| I believe that price doesn't matter just as long as you test it first before use . | |

| Walmart , but test them before you use them even if it means going through pair after pair , which shouldn't happen , but the Titanic shouldn't have sank either , you catch my drift . | |

| Glasses. Lighter, easier to get your head on the stock, better field of vision, don't fog up as much, getting some mesh ones very soon as well to eliminate any shine giving away my position and to totlly eliminate fogging.
The only downside is that some don't make a full seal around your eyes. I don't mind getting hit in the face that much so the face protection part is a non-issue compared with mobility and visibility.

| I have used a full face mask for the last two years, while it does look rather silly, and as you can expect I do get a few odd looks and comments. But the fact is, is that it works. The human face shape is completely gone, there is no dark hollow left by a hat, and there is no shine from glasses, no ghillie material in front of my eyes. Once veg'd up in the local fauna, it can be extremely hard to spot, especially at closer ranges, which is where I tend to play. [ I do not use an upgraded sniper weapon at these ranges for safety ] It is reasonably light to wear, cooler than a bonnie hat, as it is made from a cut down plastic military style helmet, reinforced with 5mm stainless mesh, eye protection is stainless welded mesh [meets required safety standard], removable ghillie, and loads of veg loops, and a RIS mounted helmet camera. It gives me all round face protection, and still allows a complete un obscured field of view, hearing is unaffected, prevents radio wires being caught in bushes etc. It is sculptured in such a way that I have no issues using a scope or red dot. Benefits my health, as it stops me smoking while out in the field Feel free to giggle, joke, rip apart, [ I know you want to ] or even perhaps constructive criticism? | |
