| It depends on the Silencer, if you have a Private Parts or other Silencer that you can dissassemble it is quite easy. The problems come later, once you set your Silencer, and mark where you want to Drill and Thread the holes, getting the Rail to line up exactly the way you had it to start with is going to take alot of trial and error. every time you remove the Silencer, and getting it to start threading by reinstallation the same way every time could turn into a Nightmare. Just wondering why you would want to install a rail in a Silencer , If the Silencer is on a Rifle or Pistol it is just going to make the gun more front heavy, and depending on what attachments you install on the Rail, it could quite rapidly lead to a Problem with Barrel Wobble. As killyou asked, next time Please label your question correctly before posting it, Thanks. | |

| well you might not need to do that you could get some liquid welder or gorilla glue or something that can with stand the elements and well keep it on then you don't need to worry about screwing the silencer up. | |

| I wouldn't trust glue.
You don't put a rail on a real supressor there might be a reason for this...cough*to far to reach*cough.
What are you planning on mounting anyways?

| from what I understand he just wants it to look like a phantom AUG. I don't see any need for the rails though. | |

| If you want something easy to work with try JB weld. Its a 1 shot thing though, so get everything right before you apply it. JB weld is actually more of a concrete mix, it comes in a tube. You can usually find it at the hardware store.

| unitsniper02 can you tell us the point? I mean I know the Phantom AUG has the same thing but do they really help being that far up on the gun? I would just forget about it and put the silencer on without rails. | |

| lol LW.
um the grenade launcher as LW said defeats the purpose. I mean if you get the phantom AUG conversion with the LONG barrel it will look better. I think he's looking for a systema M4

| no they don't do anything I know how to make one that works but it ONLY works with gas or Co2. But spring electric all those the sound comes from inside the gun not when it is shot so it doesn't help at all. The word "Mock" means fake/replica. | |

| Suppressors in Airsoft reduce or even(sometimes), totally kill the 'Crack' of the gun. Most of the noise comes from the mechbox so its not that big of a deal but it defiantly makes a difference over some range. As far as real steel goes. Some soldiers/marines/sailers/airmen attach both a suppressor and an M203 for the purpose of keeping their hearing. Remember the only time where a Grenade launcher makes a whole lot of noise is when the grenade goes BOOM! So for using in these super secret operations that Tom Clancy talks about, you know the ones where all noise is an instant death ticket yes an M203 would probably not be a good fit when you attach your suppressor. Other wise it might be a good idea. Remember things arn't always as they seem. sticks | |

| Well, to each his/her own.
A Silencer with an M203 mounted underneath, I hope you post some pictures when you are done, I personaly would really like to see that.
Something that good old Tom Clancy never explains when using silencers, and is unknown to most of the general public, for a Silencer to be effective and to fullfill its full potential, the munnition also has to be Sub-Sonic, contrary to popular belief, even when you are behind the Trigger, the Sonic Crack of the Bullet damages the Ear. The Crack of the Bullet can also be tracked back to the shooter, and is heard over a long distance. If you ever get the chance to work down range at a K.D. shooting event, you will experiance it first hand.
