That sounds like a good idea to me, as well. So perhaps the patches should have a little bit of empty space so people can put their usernames and state on?

Maybe have just enough space where it wouldnt be too noticalble but can still be used.

Whatever we do, please refrain from starting the contest till monday, going to stay somwhere this weekend without photoshop

The problem with adding options to a Patch, each additional option requires a different stencil, and unless they are ordered in large numbers, the cost of a patch could be quite high.

I would maintain a simplistic and cost effective design. Simple color schemes and minimal high detail graphics.

Not a pre made username/state stencil. No...im taking about leaving a blank space along the edge or bottom that could or couldnt be used to put your custom whatever

On a different note, do you guys want to go with printed or sewed patches? Printed can be less expensive for a smaller quantity, and can have allot more details. However they are usually more expensive in larger quantities than the sewed patches. The other risk we run with printed is color bleeding, however this usually isn't a problem unless you go with a illegitimate site.

I'd like sewed patches. It would look better, in my opinion. As for having the motto in latin... is there a latin word for "airsoft?"

It would be totally BA but then people would have to explain what it means constantly.

I think sticthed ones would be better cause they would be cheaper in large quantities like you said.

Also, do we know how many members will actually want to buy one and go through the hassle with payment and shipping.

Well if you got it through like Airsoft GI or something then you could buy something else and thte patch wouldnt really effect shipping because they weigh almost nothing, but I have no idea how'd you do that.

ASGI doesn't make patches, but I believe evike does.
