| Ok so i guess most of ur guys injuries are pretty bad but i got a an even better one so listen up!!! Always wear a mask i rpeat always where a mask..Me and my friends were playing airsoft about christmas time last year. Half of my buddies went out in the woods to hide and the other half stayed in the house to get geared up. I had a utg paratrooper and my friends had similiar guns..anyway long story short we fanned out at the start of the woods and went in slowly. there was a barbed wire fence between us and where we thought the enemy was and so one of my teammates went under it. He was emdiately attacked from all sides and actually tackled by one of the enemy. They exchanged pistol fire and then continued to roll around on the ground..being the nice kid that i am i started shooting both of them..karma got me tho when another player stepped out from behind a tree and shot me stright in the face. the bb went through my grinning lips and hit me right in the middle of my teeth.. it blew out a respectable hole and i had to have 2 teeth reconstructed...I was wearing safety glasses and thick camo but now i always wear a mask..regardelss of the situation | |

| I have a cut up pair of BDU's that I just wrap around my face where my goggles don't cover. All those neoprene masks and everything aren't really necessary in my own opinion. | |

| I went to a airsoft tournament in Ohio and it went well for about half the day. The leader of our rival team came up to me when we had our lunch break and he punched me in the nose. He broke my nose and for what??? I never found out why, but he left after he did that. I believe the reason he hit me was because my team always targeted him first and got him out (most of the time we were unsuccessful because we ended up getting beat that way) but that day we successfully got him out first and i flipped him off with my free gloved hand and he got really mad at that. | |

| Well, I can't say that flipping him off was a good move, actually I don't condone that conduct at all. But you should have had him followed, gotten his license plate down and charged him with assault.
I personally would have seen him in jail, and pressed the charge. If you hit back it turns into a he said he said time of thing, so just let the police handle it.

| Sound like a bit of a close shoot to nock out your teeth with a pistol, maybe you should set a longer Rule of Engagement distance. | |

| o geees thats gotta hurt, once i was playin a little backyard match when i was a n00b and i was usin a shotgun that went about 355 fps, and it was me and my friend vs. his brothers, so we split up and i went into the woods and waited to flank his little brother, then he went across from me, his little brother came around the house and my friend lit him up then i started chasing and firing at him, then he finally got a way so i just sat there and got him in my sights then right after pulling the trigger he took off his mask and said, "new rule, you can't shoot me!" then he got hit smack in the face right under the eye and i was like: oh sh!7 hes gonna be blind his whole life, but i was so relieved when i found out he wasn''t, lol. ever since then i have never taken off my mask in a game. the reaon he did that mwas because his parents have a rule that u can't shoot someone without eye protection, so he tjhot if he took it off he'd be invincible and i didnt expect him to just take it right off lol. | |

| DANG!
Here everyone plays with heavily upgraded weapons , the lowest site limit Ive come across being 450fps. So yeah usually wear a full face mask to protect my pretty mug. I can get away with a half mask and airsoft rated shades during pistol games.( highest allowable is 350fps. Shades are rated for 700fps)

They are when your locale field requires them I wish I could do what you have done. It seems very comfy and resourceful.

| I wear a full air-soft mask. I have discovered that neoprene mask get uncomfortable, and I don't like wearing them for long periods of time.
I always wanted to try a mouth guard. I don't mind being shot in the face, it's my teeth and eyes that I feel most important to protect. I have yet to check to see how a mouth guard would work, but it already has a lot of flaws, such as BBs, could still fly into your open mouth (Which can be very bad, and is currently the leading factor which will force me to scrape the mouth guard idea before I can even look at a piece).
I think safety first, I would rather be uncomfortable and safe, than comfortable but in danger of serious harm.
LOL last months while out airsofting with a few friends (just in our local woods). I was trying a new pair of mesh goggles that were designed to work with wood carving, and about halfway into our first game, my friend Jason (A sniper) shot me right above the goggles (slightly above the eyebrows). I went home bleeding, and Jason was laughing himself into a coma.
