| well it does a few things. First of all and most importantly it makes the exit pattern of the bb more controlled. No matter what a bb bounces a little in the barrel, the tighter inner barrel decreases the amount the bb bounces and makes it so it goes straighter, longer. It also does slightly increase fps because it decreases the amount of air that can get past the bb. this increase will be around 10 fps at the most. It doesn't really increase range but it will increase the range to which your gun is accurate. | |

| HW, just something I would like to point out,
Your last post is very accurate, but depending on the Main Spring power, weight of the BB, quality of the BB and Hop Up Buckling, the FPS can be greatly improved, not just by a maximum of 10 FPS, but as a rule you are right in stating a 10-20 FPS improvement can be expected. | |

| It would be good! Im not sure but it would be better but if you want check out tanio koba twist barrels. For like 100 you can get a set up that is easily shooting 200 ft. The twist (budumbum) is that the barrels only work under 1 joule (about 330 fps with .20s) but the use a cyclone of air to carry the bb straighter, further. I am thinking of getting a TK twist barrel, a nineball bucking, and a sp110 spring. Thats only about 90 bucks. Just an idea. The biggest issue is you can't use the tk barrel if you upgrade your spring. | |
